Haha.......I got on a flight up to Gladstone yesterday to drive a car back to Wollongong(I just got back(Bloody long drive).I Left Gladstone at 10:30am and drove to Colloundra, arrived there at 6:30pm and stayed for the night.
I left Colloundra at 4:30am this morning (I Drove through the gold coast and arrived in Wollongong at 9:30pm daylight savings time). The thing I had trouble understanding was I only saw two soarers in QLD(Don't you guy's drive your cars?) and as for NSW I spotted six soarers in sydney alone. The soarers I saw in QLD was both Green TT's.One heading into Brisbane and the other parked at Coffs harbour.
And the other thing I had trouble with was,The bloody toll booths(I think there were 6 toll booths within 1k of each other) heading from Brisbane to the Gold coast,NOT HAPPY JAN! It cost us around $7 just to get out off Brisbane(Ive gotta get shares in this). If I had to do this on a regular schedule I would be p1ssed.

Hey Jeff, Coffs Harbour is in NSW. What tolls were you paying?? Going from the north to the Gold Coast there is only 1 and it is on the south end of the Gateway Bridge.

Mine gets driven every day Jeff, 100,000 k's in 3 1/2 years, and I don't know where you got the tolls from, there is only the gateway toll and a toll on the Logan motorway.

Somebody didn't follow the signs properly! There's a toll on the Gateway Bridge, and then a toll on the Gateway Arterial, and then a toll on the Logan Motorway. You should've turned off onto the Pacific Mwy about 15-20 minutes after you went through the Gateway Bridge toll.
Instead of going directly south, you went South, then Southwest, then East, then South again.
SILLY BOY!

God's country? You know there's a running joke up here. Every time you hit onto a road which has been left to go into disrepair, somebody usually exclaims " did we cross the border or something?" Terrible, terrible Welshman roads
Just to highlight exactly why you hit those tollbooths, the Yellow route is where you had to go, the red route is where you did go, and the green road is where you should have gone. Big angry red circles are tollbooths

Had you deviated east instead of west you could have driven past my garage and seen my car lol. And coffs harbour is not really in Qld haha. So I guess that makes it only one soarer you saw...er.

Yeh I have to agree there is scams in every state.Haha .......I was the sucker this time!
It was an enjoyable drive down and there isn't a better way than to go on a road trip with an old mate I haven't seen in 4 years,Great laugh's and a great way to catch up on old times.I drove back in a holden rodeo duel cab.Not a bad car to drive on long trips.
Despite the toll's and lack off soarer's spotted I had a great experience in QLD.I also come across two four wheel drive cars parked on the side of the road between Gladstone and Colloundra.Lucky I wasn't speeding,Bloody speed traps,My mate told me to watch for these.
Next time I hope to be in my soarer and catch up with some of you guy's and see the site's.
