Cops can't charge you for talking about drugs. A list of illegal modifications on a vehicle registered in your name is slightly different, wouldn't you say?

Sam I don't see the difference at all. It's legal to make non road legal mods to a register vehicle, assuming you don't actually drive it on the road. This lets people turn their road car into a rally/drag/race car. After all it's that persons property to do with it what they want so if you want to mod it first and deregister it second that's up to you. I'm also sure some vehicles that farmers and other primary industries operate (especially forklifts and tractors) are registered (for insurance purposes) however not road legal.
I don't need drugs to have fun (other than alcohol, and maybe the occasional pot while out camping or what not, although that has always been a freebie from friends and is like once every few months). Never been addicted to anything in my life and never will. I see addiction as a weakness in a person. Had speed once, that is way overrated, and a small dose of LSD while back at high school, crap crap crap, didn't do sh|t to me (or perhaps I just got a blank piece of colourful paper for 20 bucks, who knows).
If a vehicle has illegal mods on it it will not be allowed to be registered... there are different types of insurance policies for dedicated drag cars and rally cars that wouldn't require the car to be road legal and registered...
Adam if the authorities find that there are illegal mods on the car, they will ask you to remove them, otherwise they will deregister the car, period. It is not enough to tell them you will not drive it on the road, as they will not believe you, or they will not be in the position to take your word for it, as they have a job to do and procedures they need to follow. Trust me, that just wouldn't happen

Meh, I dont do drugs any more. I just drink and like Daniel might have some pot with my mates every couple of months. What I mentioned was a part of my past life which I have openly discussed on here before. It was in Don's thread about him giving up drinking where I decided to shed some light on a few things i've been through so he could maybe reflect on it. I was never proud of what I did and never posted what I did to "brag" or say "hey, im cooler than you" I think some people on this Forum are a bit too sensitive to things.
Adam, If your gonna judge me before you've even gotten to know me then thats your problem, not mine. Everyone I meet I give a fair go regardless of who they are, where they've been and what they've done. It's called human compassion. Never would I drop my opinion on someone unless they had done something bad to myself or someone I care about.
Don Bagnall Moderator New Zealand I have WAY less Soarers than Hayden :-(
Stop being such a goodie-goodie Adam. It's all part of growing up and is not such a bad thing (well, it is and it isn't, depending on how much you're into it I suppose). I bet John Howard smoked pot when he was a hippy back in the sixties, now he's the PM, think about it!

At the same time Adam I dont blame you. 1 Of the main reasons I stopped doing them was because I cared what my friends thought of me and their hatred towards it all. They helped me get out of that life cause they knew that doing drugs was a small flaw in my personality and other than that I was a good person and that they wanted to get the old me back. I can agree with you hating Drugs but dont hate the people who do them as its not exactly fair and doesn't sum them up as a whole.
The times I have met you I've gotten along with you and would of said your a good bloke but does that mean now that you know of something I did a few years ago and have moved on in my life with mean you've completely revamped your opinion of me ?

Ben, I have no problem with you. You say you've stopped, and cleaned up, so as far as I'm concerned, you're a person again.

Without knowing who they really are ???
As for anyone currently living that lifestyle, I know who they really are - they're druggies. Enough said.

Depends what you class as a drug, in my opinion alcohol is a drug, it kills more people every year than ecstasy and cannabis combined.
If you're talking about illicit drugs then once again you've got to look at why they are illicit. To quote Chris Rock, pot is illegal because the best pot isn't made by white folks.
Now I can understand you hating what drugs turns some people into, as I have no sympathy for someone who steals or commits serious crimes in order to feed their addiction, but you can't hate 'all' drugs. Think about how much better you feel after you pop a Panadol the next time you have a headache.
In my opinion, Cannabis has less effect on you than Alcohol. Negative effects on the body have been linked to excessive usage... well duh, trap a rat in a box for a 24 hour compression session for the next 365 days and the rat isn't going to feel too flash.
Fair enough you don't like people who do drugs, that is your prerogative, but considering 1 in 3 young adults in Australia have smoked cannabis you might be surprised who you hate...
