my dyno night was bad i only produced 161.5kw. because i had disconnected my overdrive, so that it's always on , and that some how don't give a good dyno rreading. So i will get that fixed than get it dynoed again,
ps thanks for organising the night it was goood to see all these soarer go hard.

I'm still stoked that I got 161kW out of a practically stock TT. That should give me a very good baseline for some of the coming improvements that I've saved for.
Richard and others, I had every intention of getting up there, but had my dates mixed up. I tried to contact you via MSN cos I misplaced your mobile number, but it seems you didn't get it. I wish I could have been there, but had prior arrangements.
If anyone is keen to see the car in action on a dyno, come to Newcastle AutoSalon next weekend where it'll definitely be making a run or two.

Great night out and good chatting to everyone. Thanks for the ride Colin. That was something special.
Muz, Jade loves the pic of her car on the dyno and said to say thanks.
Also well done to Richard for organising the event and for the good figure he turned out.

Was a good day. Looks like there is a big diff between mobil 8000 and bp ultimate. Bp being the far better fuel.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, I use BP Ultimate myself BUT.
To be sure you will have to go to the same dyno on the same day at the same temperature in the same car. Dyno's fluctuate.
Ray's car was done at Croydon some time ago and made 178rwkw.
Mine was done the same place on a hot day on Optimax and made 178. As you can see I got 178 again on Ultimate on a colder day. It also seemed that all other V8's lost about 10% on this dyno.
Figure that out.
As Neil says: the only real test is on a drag strip.
I used Shell Optimax in my Soarer which is stock and pulled 160.7kw. Every dnyo will be different so if you are looking at doing mods and like to find out the end results must use the same dyno for best result readings.
