Justin Mate there are a couple of quick things you can do and it would only cost about $60 and some time for you to carry them out and also you don't have to be that up with the mechanics to do them

grrrrrrrrrrr, I'm so pissed I gotta laugh ! Spewin' me and the boy missed dyno day. I just upgraded my 'puter with 4xSeagate HDD's in Raid5, (sweet sweet boot and operating speed now)anyways, I didn't get os running until saturday morning, I check the forums to show old mate Roger(HOG owner) and f*^k me if it wasn't cancelled!! Talk about dissapointment, the boy was mad keen to learn about his car and check out other cars,we all went shopping instead and I rebuilt the Raid 'cause I wasn't happy with it. I just logged on and what do I see ? Results for Dyno Day ! Its just not fair ! I had soooo many questions................
Trent, Did you find out if they are able to put the V8 dyno runs on one sheet? But i would definately be interested in another dyno day say end of jan or february sometime.
Lew, Is there any way of really bringing the power figures earlier in the range down as my cars making about 120kw at bit over 5000rpm from memory(lost my dyno sheet) and somewhere between 6500 and 7000rpm it makes 160kw from memory.
Its not very broad band of power or is that just the nature of these engines if im doing 55km/h which puts it around the sweet spot in first the thing is a absolute animal as it more or less leaps forwards losing traction but low end its just sluggish and embarrassing?

Wow, do you have a set of cams in there to get those sort of revs out of your engine? Or is it just a free-flowing exhaust? My power curve drops off at about 5000 rpm and there's no point in revving it to 6000 rpm.
I've found that my engine leans out below about 3000 rpm if you put your foot flat to the floor. A piggyback computer should be able to remedy this, or one of Neil's Adaptronic replacement ECU's. Generally, if your engine is making power up to 7000 rpm then you can't expect much at the lower end of the rev range with an atmo car. It's hard to tune for the whole rev range.
Lew seems to think that the best exhaust for the atmo V8's is a 2 1/4" twin system (or was it 2" ???) as this provides optimal back-pressure for the stock cams. This might get you more low-down torque, but you might lose some top-end (don't quote me on that).
im pretty sure i read the dyno sheet correctly, ill have to find it other than that just a exhaust looks like 2" 1/4 just after the cat sensor and pod with the resonator removed with steel piping. How do i go about posting a image
EDIT: Found the dyno sheet if the RPM is on the right hand side it is 6000rpm an three blocks so 6600RPM?

my program shat itself and the other program i was planning on using dubs music over the edited video so you wont be able to here the dyno or car which is pointless, but im sorting it out as we type.!
