Stuff a barbie, I'll just go for a boost around the block the we can bung a plate on top of my 'zorst manifold! LOL Um, sorry, I can't either. My bbq won't fit in a station wagon, let alone a soarer! Maybe if we all chip $15 we could get one of those little portable ones specifically for days like this?

Does anyone want anything else looked at, or a hand with doing any jobs on their Soarer on the day? BFI? Oil Change? etc?

Eh, I walked into that one! I'm a bit overdue for an oil change, so if I haven't done it by then, we'll add that to the list of things to fix on my car. I can see this turning into another 'Ben gets really dirty under his car AND cooks whilst everyone watches' day again...

Peter I have some braided lines that need going on, I've got the lines and 2 ltrs (is that enough) brake fluid . Would be so grateful if you could help put them on, considering you've have prior experience. Might get some DBA slotted rotors as well if anyone has the part numbers. I think I saw them selling at supercheap auto the other day. Crap I'll need pads as well. I feel for you Ben, my car also likes to have things fixed on it... and make odd noises. :-( |

Oi, I asked Gazza and Pen about the lines first! Take a number and get in line Don't worry about DBA, RDA are also good and half the price! Also, no-one will have DBA ones in stock, they are special order from the factory and you can bet that this time of year you won't get them before the day. I'll give you a hand with them if you need it when you get them mate.

Cheers Ben! So it's sunday the 7th? Where? Pete place? Also someone reccommend me good pads. The Lucas are ok but too much dust for me new wheels. |

That is usually the trade off mate, more bite = more dust

Stupid dust. I'm not forking out for Greenstuff pads... too expensive. Oh well it might be ferrado or Lucas for me again. Got no idea if they need doing but I'll buy some and change them if they do. If they don't I'll throw them in the cupboard and do them later. If the meet as after the 8th I'll probably have the shift kit and transcooler in.

Ferodo would probably be overkill for you unless doing track days. Lucas are a great all round pad with terrific bite, but are dusty. If you don't want the dust, then OEM will do the job.

I don't find the Lucas to be THAT bad, yes they're more dusty than the OEMs, but does your car go for weeks without a wash? Probably be more of an issue with a rim that is a pain to clean I guess... They're well worth the extra dust IMHO. Brake feel is much improved over the OEM pads. ps. I only have a 7 burner barbie, the mongrel is as big as my soarer. Definitely wont fit in the boot. lol.
