Well, if kebabs are on at 6:30, meet up, eat, drink, drive to hillarys etc, surely you'll make it there way before 8:30...  Just gotta eat quickly and then drive up there. Or take it away |

I wont be there in my car, most likely, as it doesnt look like the clutch will be rebuilt in time.

i just got back home from ignition, as to say i saw the cops blocking off the entrances and just kept driving, i didn't get there till like 10:30 but still did something happen or are the cops just being there usual spoil sport selves? |

lol i rung a mate who was there.
some guys were doing burn outs or something down the strip and then cops rocked up. locked the place down and only let out cars one at a time for a while and are checking cars and breath testing people. I didnt end up going either. he reckons you wont get out for 2 hours or so if you come in. |

Heheh yeah i got stuck inside =P
There were 2 exits from the carpark. One had a hugeeeeee long queue, the other didnt.
The cars in the huuuggeee long queue were being probed in 1 of 3 ways it looked like; license check, breathalyser, roadworthy check.
The other line was more realistic and only suspicious people (like me? o.O ) were getting stopped and roadworthy checked.
I saw about 4 tow trucks during the night, im sure there would have been more.
To my knowledge 3 people were picked up on the burnouts at the carpark, however im sure others would have been plucked from surrounding streets (all the bogans did burnouts! ;D)
Overall; i was not impressed by the content of the turnout. Pretty lacklustre cars really. Seen it all before. Nothing special.
Waste of a Friday evening to be honest. |

Worst thing to happen to the Perth car scene in years.
Cops got disrespected left right and centre, that can only be a bad thing for us in the future.
Anyways, funny moment of the night, cops told me they're only stopping 'cars which look modified'. I go "well mine's pretty highly modified, but it's on QLD rego, this going to be a problem?", cops goes 'don't stress mate just queue up'.
I roll up to the checkpoint, they just wave me though, while a stockish VX commy has its bonnet popped.
Guys next to me at the round-a-bout were cracking up laughing, wondering how I got through. |

Hehe, that was so funny how the guy got caught by the cops doing that burnout. His face expression was priceless the second he saw the cop pull up in front of him while he's smokin it up! He got hoon lawed big time, wonder if it's his first time or not.
I thought it will take me a while to get out, but yeah, went around the other way through the back, got pulled over for a check though, my rego sticker was out of date. Didn't check anything else though so that's good! Took me 5 mins to get out
Was fun to watch. The amount of sh|tters that turned up, good enough for a laugh. That time the cop pulled up in front of everyone and put their roof lights on, he should have done a burnout or at least a rev for public relations purposes, ah well...
Be on the lookout on the news or current affair on a hoon story lol! |
