Well, I took them out, and 2 had bad cracks, the other 4 were cracked also......
I was going to use the PVC glue, but the cracks extended up past the rubber boot section. So at this stage i have use some Nail Polish to cover them over.... When i have time later this week, i will probably use the PvC glue as well.
I didnt want to glue the boost on there and not be able to get them back off. Unless you just use the lgue and let it dry overnight then put the boots on? Which makes more sense.
Anyways, tonight it ran up to 17psi no probs, so fingers crossed at this stage. Since last week it would miss at anything over 14psi. Tonight it even spiked as high as 19.0psi and that would normally mean a missfire in the last few months.
So it would seem i have had these things playing up for a long time. I doubt it will change my 1/4 mile times as they are pretty impressive at the moment, but who knows!
Anyways, thanks for all the tips and help fellas. Will keep you all informed And Maybe i MIGTH race this week now, lol!!!!!

Good stuff mate Pretty much all coilpacks are cracked by now in various degrees, 4 of mine are. It is only once the cracks extend past the boots that the problem becomes known. Scorch marks on the boots are a dead giveaway as to which coilpack is faulty.
Clean the coilpacks with metho, then apply the PVC glue liberally around the cracked area, allow to dry overnight, then re-fit the boots. Might pay to check every 30 mins or so that the glue is thick enough, apply extra coats as needed before the final drying. Seemed to work well for me Some people even put the boots back on while the glue is wet but I think it would be better to do that dry.
Good luck with the races! Have you ordered your cam gear yet?

Havent ordered cam gear yet, Coils still playing up Mainly when cold as Iridium plugs are harder to ignite than coppers, so electricity will try the easiest route out....
I guess i will have to do the PVC thing this week, but more than likely order some new coil packs in the not too distant future.
Ive asked my mate whom is a mechanic to call Toyota at Castle Hill and see what trade price is on them..
The saga continues
Benjamin Burgess Goo Roo NSW Toyota Soarer GT-TL, Toyota Corolla Conquest
I couldn't, but wanted to go. I finished up my training gig too late to drive half way across Sydney in time. I'm so busting to go, I've done quiet a few changes since last time to make the car more consistent rather than faster.

If TT Soarers were AWD, I'd imagine they could match those times. GT-R's have the huge advantage of dropping the clutch at 7000rpm and having very minimal wheelspin! Trust me, I tried.
Even in the wet, I could just NOT get it to wheelspin (I only tried as much as I dared as it wasn't my car)

Shoulda glued yours up and gone for some runs, perfect night for it! That is a fantastic result for that skyline! Look at that 1/4 mile result, even with such low MPH! I can't explain it!
A mate with an XR6 Turbo auto, ran an 11.9 @ 115mph (1.7 60 foot) on MT's, flashtune (12psi), stock exhaust, punched out cat, injectors, and octane booster. Quiet as a mouse, no other mods. Amazing potential those cars have

Vinh, My car with the MT et Streets can and has 60 footed faster than him, but after being in his car, it does feel like it has a fraction more HP.. Not much, but it does.
Although, Im yet to run with my current setup with anything lower than 20 degree air temps either. SO i cant wait for a nice cold night.
Dan, was good to have a quick chat with you in the scrutineering line, sounds like your mate in the GTR had an awesome night!
I hit my target..... 13.5 @ 105mph with a 2.1 60'. Ran the same time earlier in the night with a lower trap but a 2.0 60'. I think tires were the key, hooked up so much better off the line. Less camber on the back and a bit more punishment on the clutch should be good for a low 13 I'm hoping Gotta do something about boost cut though, smashed that a few times....

FCD is an easy way around that Andrew
And we are putting a boost gauge on my mates Skyline to see how much it really has got... I have heard that removing the solenoid on a stock gtr is good for 15psi but on something with an exhaust like my mates, it may be up around the 17+psi mark...
Did your mate get hit up for an ANDRA super street license? I knew a guy there (silver R33 GTS-T) who cracked 11s on his MT radials, got told to get out and not come back until he had an ANDRA license. The GTR had 2 successive runs of 11.99 or quicker!
Well in the US the newest corvette runs a low 11 straight out of the factory and they had to change the rules as they were kicking out every new corvette owner. The rule should only apply to cars built before a certain date that were never made to run an 11, ie jellyfish chassis' and miracoil suspension. Modern vehicle have far stiffer chassis and superior suspension, why should we be punished for using late model and much safer vehicles.
They never hit me up for a super street license for the two times I have cracked an 11 second pass. One of my 11's was done on my first run of the night. Be interesting to see if I run close to mid 11's if they'll kick me out then. The damn license is bloody expensive now, like 300 bucks or something, use to be 125 a year.
