hey steve you can get a second hand alternator really cheap now days from any wrecker and to replace will only take 4hours tops..easy even i can do it lol.

Sorry guys, looks like I can't make the cruise either. Just took my car out of the driveway, and it looks like the turbos have packed it in. I can't believe it, the last cruise I wanted to go on, the turbos shat themselves a week before, now it has happened again! I'm destined to never go on a cruise!!

Just thought I would add that my girl is coming with me as well! She's good company....just have to be careful when she is driving! Her right foot's a bit heavy.

Talked to Karl Hardy this week... Says he may come down for a visit!

Yeah, I know I have a week, that's not the problem. The problem is trying to save up $2000 odd and then replacing the turbos in that week. Last time it took almost 3 weeks for the mechanic to even get around to looking at my car! (Even without turbos I'd still rather this to a V8!!)

Fair enough, Matt!!!

TWO many Soarers are never enough. It would be nice to have one of each. Then the big question could be, "Which one will I drive today?" "Oh, that's easy,.... the one that's not broke,...most likely the V8." (that's a jest for those overly sensitive types)hehe.

Hope you get it fixed soon. You could go into withdrawal!!

Tell me about it! Last time it was off the road for 2 months. I was almost climbing the walls by the time I got it back! I just want to go for a drive!! Is that too much to ask?

On a brighter note, have been pricing single turbo upgrades today. There may be a silver lining after all!

Seriously be careful though, I got a letter in the mail today from the EPA for a full noise and emissions test... Check my profile, that means the ENTIRE car nearly needs to be returned to standard for the inspection

lol... Then it all goes back on again. That would be the biggest PITA if I had to change the entire turbo set up ect. Keep it in mind.

If its the same letter they usually give you about a month to take it in. You may want to check if your cars still registered....

Sucks to hear mate, this is the exact reason i was thinking of getting the plug-in harness for the e-manage so you can easily rip it out for such occasions
