Mate, I was in the same situation as you, looking for a custom job. But after looking around a few exhaust shops, I really didn't want to spend 700-1000 on a custom setup that might not fit as good or have poor work like too many bends or welds.
Bit the bullet and ordered one from Xspeed, though it's taking a while. You can go to any other workshop that imports parts from Japan.
HKS have stopped making exhausts for Soarers, so I went with the Trust system. I recall that a trust dual-system cat-back was going around 2k, so single muffler will save you money, and does the same job.

I'm just looking to add few bits and things to my soarer to make it not stock, not looking to spend thousands on it...mods I definatley want though are just my kit done in the next 2 weeks then my exhaust system then a fmic.

Greenwood Tyre and Auto have a guy who usually does a cat back for soarers around the $900 mark. Bit of a waiting list though as he is on FIFO.
Carline Mufflers in Malaga doing mine in 2 weeks for $1000. Cat back 2.5" twin pipes with twin cannons. (He talked me out of getting twin 3" as it would be too extreme for what i have got planned for the car.)

i got my aristo done, same system as a soarers for $580. i supplied a high flow cat, and they did a 3" midpipe then to the highflow cat then twin 2.5" cat back with berkley high flow mufflers and tips of your choice. its mild steel but it coated with ceramic or heat paint.
heres a video of it, relatively quiet on idle and cruise but nice with some throttle! (might add theres no resonators at all!)

Kurt, if you're around the Cannington area, there is a guy named Colin I have used before, he does a lot of custom exhuast jobs, great guy. I cant remember what his business name trades as, but it's on Albany Hwy, same side of the highway but across a sidestreet from the Holden dealership, there's a block of shops with a Dick Smith on the corner - Colin's business is about 3 shops down the sidestreet from Dick Smiths (thats the best I can do for you until the next time I drive past it and make note of his trading name).

Hey guys,
thanks for all the help and feedback.
I bought a magnaflow 3" cat off ebay for only us$120 (including shipping) and also 2 3.5" mufflers for aud$220.
Mettams have said that they'l do the piping for $500 which i think sounds good so I went ahead with it...Not getting it done till next month though as I' waiting for the parts to come in.

Which mettams Kurt ???? I supplied all my muffler's + cat to Mettams in Morley and they welded it all up with stainless steel and mandrel bends for $250.
