One of them foam interior cleaners and a medium brush did well on the interior of my soarer. Wash, wax and buff did wonders on the exterior. High pressure air gun for the engine along with oil and rag for the new look. Done.

When you go to polish it try using that auto glym range of products. I always used to use the polyglaze and meguires stuff but i grabbed a bottle of that auto glym super resin polish the last time and my god did it come up well. Another great thing about it is, after you let it dry it is just a powder that you could almost blow off the paint instead of having to buff it again to get the polish residue off. The i went with a meguires wax and i have never seen it look so good

I have had my car detailed by a few different places but I found Diamond Eye Detailing the best and also the cheapest. The guy used to detail the cars at Toyota in Morley and had done a few Soarers so I tryed it out and was extremely happy. I had to actually tell him to stop as he wasnt happy with it but I thought it was great! Bit of a perfectionist, I think. Very nice guy, he comes to your house on weekends etc. Just have to find that damn business card. Do you guys want me to see if we can get a group price organised as I'd be down? This rain is doing nothing for my black Soarer

Hi guys, yes he does do carpets because I had mine done. I'm just off to Bali today till Friday. When I get back I will call him and get a group quote etc. While I'm away, could you all post up if your interested just to give me an indication of how many people we have. So far I've got:

Josh - what sort of money have you paid someone to detail your car??
Guys, I have been giving serious consideration to starting up a bit of a cashie weekend job detailing cars - been discussing this with a mate of mine who sells BMWs and he reckons a lot of his clients would easily go for it.
I've got a full range of polishes (mag polish, glass polish, plastic polish, etc), the Meguiars 3-stage clean and polish system, tyre shine, a high pressure hose attachment, a small vacumm cleaner with attachments and also a small portable steam cleaner that I use to do my carpets, as well as a couple of different brushes and stuff for getting into the spokes of wheels etc.
I've had my car in Motorvation this year, and having done done an engine-out single turbo and manual conversion in my carport, I'm prettyknowledgeable on the Soarer engine bay to be able to give that a good detail also.
Basically, I'd be happy to do a cashie job for anyone who'd be willing to give me a go. I'm just in a position where I desperately need some extra cashola for the next 12 months or so.
What I'd be offering is I come to you on a weekend, and do a full wash and polish, interior steam clean and vacuum, engine detail, tyre shine, glass polish, headlight polish, and some basic maintenance stuff (check tyre pressure, oil and water levels, battery terminals). If Josh can give us an idea of what sort of money he's paid for something like that in the past, I'll come to a price for my services commensurate to my not-exactly-professional level of experience and the fact I'm doing cash

Shane, would be interested for sure. Polishing gives me the so would like someone to do that. Some good carpet cleaning stuff would also be good.

I had the Soarer detailed by 1st Class Detailing in Wangara and I am very happy with the work done. Including leather treatment the cost came to $200.00. No issues with the engine misfiring or anything after the engine detail.
The guy there said we could work out a group rate. If you folks are interested, let me know and I will go talk to him as he is just round the corner from my place.

Luke - I actually dont mind the polishing, I have to say - just chuck the radio on and have a few hours to yourself
OK, I've had a couple of expressions of interest - I will sort out some times with those people (and any others who wish to give me a go) and also a "special introductory offer" price - on the proviso if you're happy with my work you pass on my details to anyone else you know may be after a detail
Alfred - that sort of price was roughly the sort of price I had been told people were paying. I had basically been thinking of making my prices nice and even - say $50 for wash & polish etc, $50 for interior, $50 for engine bay - making it a $150 job without the leather treatment. That was the way I was thinking of pushing it to my mate at BMW's clients. Special introductory offer for soarer owners will of course be cheaper again
Tim - you pay the plane ticket, and I'll come do the job
