| dont know if it was the dyno... but i was running 2psi less boost, have found a boost leak at the rear turbo manifold, although that leak was there before... Joe had a hose pop off, and Khalid's was not tuned past 5500rpm due to some issues that i believe are now sorted.... |

| Doh.... Id say.. Time to find a new DYno place Try and get a Dyno Dynamics one, so we can all compare it, as not many people outside Vic use these " Mainline" Dynos. |

| That was the most inconsistent dyno i've ever seen, people were dropping 20kw from one run to the next,couldn't even handle cars over 250rwkw. After we finished i threw my car back on to check for leaks, done 2 runs & got 265rwkw @ 1.2 with wheelspin & 247 rwkw when we sat on the back. My conclusion "Mainline dyno's suck" P.S we got owned Reepa! Next time buddy

| well I finally made it back to Sydney without any fines...or at least ones that I know of so far. Great day & nice to meet so many fellow passionate Soarer owners. An amazing collection of very "Schmick" vehicles. A couple of thanks from my side of the fence.. Cihan. mate you are a legend. I have been trying to get my emanage/tuning situation sorted here in Sydney for the best part of 2 years now. Within a matter of hours, you dragged that golden 260 from my baby...and that's a damn site more that anyone here in Sydney could do. It was a big decision for me to drive to Melbourne, but you did everything that you promised, which is certainly rare in the modifiers game. Once again, thank you for the time that you spent with me & the work that you did. BTW, Cihans mechanic should also be highly recommended, although if you guys need the work, speak to Cihan direct. Rob, thank you for organising the Ultimate & matching harness for me. Great price & fast service. It was nice to finally meet you as well. I appreciate your time as well. | As an alternate note, Cihan tuned my car the previous day on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno. It came in at 256rwkw, which was roughly equivalent to my first run at Dr Drift. We upped the boost just a lil for the final run at Dr Drift of 260.8rwkw. These two dynos read nearly exactly the same, for the same car with no changes. |

| Greg, i've got video footage but im capped and can't upload until the new month. We've got nearly every car that ran on film. Daniel, there's nothing un-explainable here. Robs converter was unlocked this time, that was his choice and contrary to expectations it made a big difference to where power would have peaked in the topend. Joseph's car was tuned to 275rwkw @ 16.5psi on a dyno dynamics dyno just a fortnight ago, on dyno day he had a popped lower BOV pipe on both his power runs. This was fixed and it pulled over 265rwkw during several diagnostic runs to see if the turbo's were okay, these after-figures were omitted for fairness. Regarding my personal figures, previous runs at 274, 278, 284 and 292rwkw were at much higher boost running a different tune on octane booster and very lean air fuel ratios. The ramp was also started much higher (130kph) and it was ramped at 12kph not 10kph like on dyno day. I've since de-tuned it (so to speak) for longevity keeping in mind if the motor goes now, i've got nothing to replace it with until the 1.5J is built in late December. In my opinion, the trophy should go to who ever can pull consistent results without pushing the absolute limits, Marks engine was 'punished' (wink) for hours on the dyno and is perfectly streetable at this power level on pump fuel. As another comparison to compliment his, in its current tune i pulled 256rwkw on a dyno dynamics dynometer last weekend. I ran it the exact same way on dyno day to see the difference and pulled just 1rwkw less. I'd say the dyno's are pretty much equal. Thats of course contrary to what i had imagined beforehand in light of seemingly unbelievable results with standard injectors. To me at least, it all makes sense now. The next dyno event i'm planning for March, it'll be held in the Clayton area on a DynoDynamics dyno to keep the critics at bay |

Dave the Red Soarer belong to George Lu's and he opened up the headlights ad painted them red. |
