Driver He needs more track time
Thats the first thing, the way I see it is that I have the mph for a decent time, but it's getting her out of the hole, best 60 ft time was a 2.0, next meeting all I'm aiming for is a 1.9 60 ft time, anything better I will be completely stoked.
3rd issue is my boost controller, I have a turbosmart e-boost, Daniel found out how to adjust it and dialled it in at 17psi, problem I found is that the boost controller will boost up to 18 to 19psi, spike, then drop down to 12psi or 11psi, sometimes 14 or 15psi. I did 1 run on the way home at what we dialled it in at and holy crap, it stuck at 17psi, if only it done that at the track. So I will have to get it sorted out first before I go back, so hopefully I will be back there in a fortnight.

Well done on your time also Steve,I am thinking of joining you in a couple of weeks.
I got my results for my dyno run,300hp - 224kw 17psi was the best run then heat soak set in and the final result was 223.5kw = 299.7hp. Woot I made it to the 300hp club.

Congrats Daniel and Steven on your runs. Great runs and great times. I watched all of your runs, I was telling my girlfriend next to me thats what I am getting.
Don't know if you remember me Daniel we had a bit of a talk on the startline way back late last year. I had the Commodore VR V6. Well a girl decided to not stop at a red light and wrote off my car.
So guess what car I will be driving in around 1 months time and guess where I will be every Wednseday night? lol.

two questions for daniel. Firstly,is there more in it?(the car) Your times were so grouped,it would suggest that you are a very consistant driver, and the car probably couldn't have gone much quicker on the night.Your thoughts? secondly, where to from here? (lets say after you pull 11.79) do you want to go cams, HKS DLI ignition thing,110 martini, more boost, ??? or is it time to move on,and get a big gain by going for a turbo upgrade.??? well done, again.

Did you do anything different with the runs now that you have the cam gear? OD on or off? PWR on or off? Did you use the shifter at all during the runs?

Nothing Different.. Power OFF, O/D OFF.
I always Launch with the Shifter in 1st. Just incase it breaks traction badly( hasnt yet, lol) But this will help stop it shifting into 2nd, kicking violently sideways...
I try and make my 1st to 2nd shift close to 6800-7000rpm. Once into 2nd i notch it straight into drive and let the box shift into 3rd when it wants ( bout 6800-7000 now with the blitz ecu). Which is fine as my car is now making power up to 7000 since the blitz ecu and cam gear.
Im pretty sure im correct in saying i was right about the Cam gear spooling up the turbos easier and lower so i could get a better 60 footer!
Only Once before had i manages a 1.69 60 footer but could consistently go 1.70-1.72's.
On Wed night, i managed 1.70 ( 1st run, took it semi easy), 1.64 , 1.66 , 1.68 And then a lacklustre 1.72 ( lazy stall and lower boost).
So i basically drove it the same as i normally have. The secret is learning how to push the stall convertor up and get some good boost off the line.
