On the 23rd of next October the Austin 7 Club will be holding a track day run in the form of a Modern Regularity.
This is a CAMS-sanctioned event, and is officially timed - you receive your lap times at the end of each session.
A regularity means you receive 20 minutes of timed practice. From there you must nominate a lap time for each of the 5 or so sessions remaining for the rest of the day. Penalty points are accrued for each .1 of a second that you are away from your nominated time and as such the winner at the end of the day is the person with the least penalty points.
Entry is usually around $95, and you will need your CAMS L2S license, fire extinguisher, helmet etc. All cars are scrutineered.
Further information is available on the Austin 7 Club Website - www.austin7clubsa.com.au -> then click the 'racing' link.
As an indication, the last event on Sept the 4th, Im pretty sure we managed at least 40 timed laps over the course of the day. Ill be out again this time around in my RX-7 and it would be good to see some familiar faces
