they are not genuine Bosch hids.

No were in the ad does the seller mention that they are other than packaging.I seen sellers in taiwan offering Hid in ten different boxs one of them was the Bosch packaging.:-)

either way ok for the price.

when you buy a set, they ask what bulb size and colour you need. for a soarer you need the 9005 bulb i think. and 6000k gives the best light and are a blue colour.

Be careful with the type of bulb you need. Many Soarers (in Perth anyway) have had their headlights converted from a Japanese spec to Australian spec.

Sorry but i dont know how to tell the difference, however there are a number of different places around Perth that can convert headlights for you.

The difference between the two types is enough to make bulbs not fit properly and potentially rattle loose; you dont want that to happen =P

Just bought the same HID's as Wayne.. Ordered them last friday and they arrived yesterday. Not bad from HK! And they are awesome! Piece of cake to fit, all plug and play. Finding a spot to mount the ballasts is probably the trickiest part..
Pretty good for $150! Super bright.

What a difference the HID's make. I'm lighting up the road for me and everyone else now!
Yeah Rod, the guy on ebay was really good to deal with, super fast postage from HK, complete with tracking n.o. Adam, I'm really impressed with the quality, esp for the price. I just need to clean the outside of the headlights now, they're looking a bit yellow. I put one HID in first and left an original 60W Halogen in so i could compare the difference. I rekon I could have got away with running just one HID it was so bright! Made a huge difference. I haven't had a chance to take pics of where I put the ballasts, i'll try and do that tonight, give you guys and idea of where to put them, since there isn't much room under there. Meantime I'll post some pics up of headlights.

Hey Adam,

I got 6000K ones. They are diamond white, just the slightest bit of blue. I thought about getting the 4300K, but i wanted a bit of bling factor too. :-)

Anything that oxidises works a treat!
Avoid a cut polish though; too many coats and you will run out of plastic. =P

I hope all you people getting HID's are aligning your lights properly. I dont want to be blinded by you guys! =P
