I think last entries are accepted at like 8pm? If you want the most runs, turn up early and stay late. A lot of people complain they only get two or three runs for the night, yet start racing at 6.30 and leave when the burnouts are on, the peak time. Towards the end of the night you can sometimes get three or four runs within the last hour.

was a good night, got 3 runs in before 8:30, and I missed 1 run cause I had to go get more air in the tyres. 11.81 @ 118mph was the best for me

Kinda, doing 1.9 60' times, but need better tyres as its spinning all 4 off the line. Pretty sure it's got an 11.5 in it... |

Good going Paul. 11's is good, but your monster should be in the 10's easy with those mods and power levels? My mates STock r33 with Dumps + zorst + Boost ran 11.98 1st time out with a 1.72 60'... Azenis all round though That was his best, it ran 12.2's consistently after that.

Cheers Daniel. Yeh I only had 3 runs, and the only one I didn't mess up (missed gears etc) was the 11.81. I drove it down as I drive it on the street, so 35psi in the tyres and a full tank etc. We'll get some Mickey Thompson ET's on it, and hopefully with a decent launch crack close to a 10. Doesn't really bother me though, I have far more fun with the car on the circuit track here |

13.547 sec @ 103.80mph 0.679 reaction time with 2.173 60ft I'm sure theres more in it... what needs improving drag gurus?? My first time out there on the plex, never realised how much grip is out there. I was granny launching at 2500rpm and it felt like I was driving off the line... should push it harder next time, was too scared haha

Your 60' needs improving! =P 1.9sec is a good guide for what you should be aiming for in a 'perfect' run =P Perhaps try stalling it up a little more on the line? Decent enough ET though. You should be able to get close to 13s flat if you let some air out of your tyres and practise your launches! =D

Chris, reaction time has no bearing on your quarter mile time, so don't worry about that, you can sit for as long as you like on the start line. Stage shallow. Creep in very slowly until you only just bring on the bottom staging light. Push down on the brake as hard as you can, you can also use the handbrake if you want. Stall the car up as far as it will go without moving or spinning the tyres, then release brakes, floor it and go! For best results keep the power switch OFF. Keep your burnouts small too. Best to pull into water, than floor it so it spins the tyres coming out of the water, let it bounce off the limiter a few times and then get off it.

uhhh so reaction time doesn't affect the ET then. I was always too busy looking at the lights, so couldn't pay any attention to what RPM I was at. I'll take my time next time. Also, on the street, the wheels will spin at say, 2500rpm, so since the track is stickier, does that mean it'll take more rpm to get the wheels spinning at the start line? A theory also... does more boost kill top end? Didn't get enough runs to experiment really...

Nope, reaction time has no influence, the timers only start when your car moves. If you sit on the line for 20 seconds after the green light and then go, your elapsed time will still be a 13 something. Track is definitely stickier and also has a smoother surface. My car gets loose in first relatively easily on the street (remember the last cruise haha) but on the track it sticks. More boost shouldn't kill the top end?

More boost may kill the top end if you're exceeding the efficiency range of the turbos (ie. boost is creeping up as rpm increases), but that would just cause it to not make any more power, pretty confident they wouldn't be running hot enough to actually make it slower. Power off for stock turbo cars. Power on for cars with power at peak RPM. a stock stall at the drags should get about 3000rpm on the line when combined with the handbrake, and 1.8 60' times with 106mph will net you a 12 second time.
