A homeless dude and his mate wandered up to me in the city while I was stopped at a red light in the Mustang the other day. One started pointing to the 289 badge on the fender and telling the other "this one's a 289 - they came with 289s and 283s". They were standing right in the middle of the street, getting closer and closer, the one pointing had something metal in his hand he was waving around. I was glad when the light turned green and I sped off before they covered the last couple of metres.
The 283 is a Chev motor too. Idiot. |

Nice Miles!! my brother is doing a complete restoration on a 71 Mach 1 its amazing how the value keeps climbing strong he bought it in mint cond for 9k 4 years ago. |

I'll do it in point form so the he can understand:
1. 1966 Mustang = looks piss weak and gay, always has been, always will!
2. 1969 Mustang = the muscly good looking mustang, you don't have one.
3. convertible = hairdresser's car / gay (ie. your car)
4. needing a car to pick up chicks = small dick / very sad 
5. above mentioned chicks = common hoes, not worth anything
6. your definition of "I'm not single" = miles has a boyfriend

What I originally had a problem with (and not just me, but also others), and I thought I spelt it out correctly, was the fact that for the last few months every second post is mustang this, mustang that and so on... it's a soarer forum, not a mustang forum.

Hahaha mate you're a laugh. I'd say calling the 65-66 shark nose Mustang gay is a very unique position. The most widely recognised and probably the meaning of the phrase "classic american car" to most people. You really are displaying your lack of taste. I'm not a Ford man, and even I give the Mustangs respect. It is THE classic car that made sports car ownership and modification popular with late teens, early 20s guys. The original pony car.
Callum, yeah it's up about 20% in the last 12 months. One sold recently at Shannon's Sydney for 55 and it wasn't in the condition mine is. A GT *clone* sold at Shannon's Melbourne last week for 48 and it was, quite frankly, not very nice at all.
Daniel, my Mustang is also free to me thanks to the tax man. In fact, I actually make money by driving it if you count the tax free appreciation.
And if you think convertibles are gay, it's probably because *you can't afford one*.

"offtopic CHAT" is one thing...but seriously!!!
I made the point, and in a not-so-gentle manner, barely a week ago that it was starting to get on peoples nerves how this section was being abused, and in particular the mustang shlt.
I thought I would be mature and open-minded about it, and hence started the Mustang thread. I like a good Mustang/hot rod/vintage muscle car just as much as any guy should.
But the continued abuse of this section, and tolerance of that abuse by admin, has allowed it to deteriorate to the level of posts that have been made today. |
