I'm trying to see what other members are near me. I live in Tanawha (not far from Buderim) I know Hayden's from Buderim but are there any others in this area?

Craig Austin has a silver jzz30
Todd Austin has a GT35R, 1jz cressida
Garry Boddis has a blue/purple 1.5jz jzz30
My mate Jeff has a black jzz30 but he is in Thursday Island. Back soon though.
Charles had a blue manual, t67 jzz30 but sold it. Is getting a chaser soon.

Thanks again Chris. Do any of you meet regularly for Soarer type chat or do you just stick to reading and writing on Soarer Central?
I've not read much regarding the Queensland events as any spare time I've had, I've read up about the fixes, improvements etc that are so impressive, so I might have missed any meetings, get togethers etc.
My Soarer's a bit past it's best and I'm certainly not in any hurry to show it off to members (but she's been-and still is- such a brilliantly reliable car) but it would be good to meet some like minded Soarer enthusiasts. |

The only get together I can think of was when we were going down to the big cruise last year. If you organise something, people will come though.
Unless it is a hot spot for piggies. As I wouldn't be taking my good car then.

There is a truck load of soarers on the coast but i find most the drivers are old granpa's!
We need to have a sunshine coast meet and greet, perhaps followed by a small cruise. Id be there! |

Why not simply arrange for an informal 'get together' at somewhere like the car park at Cotton tree or even at the car park at Bunnings or something? It doesn't have to be flash, just where everyone could meet the other members and we could have a chat.
If that went well, we could arrange another get together- maybe around Christmas?
Another idea is to meet near the Portside Restaurant in Kawana. |

The Portside Restaurant has the most delicious meals I've ever tasted and at amazingly decent prices ($14 for a fish meneaur for instance) and there's loads of parking space there.
Please be warned though, I always get 'adventurous' on second dates. |

Haven't heard of that place but I live in Kawana as well so that sounds good.
I don't know about the other guys. Jeff gets back from Thursday Island on the 14th and I am sure he will be itching to drive his Soarer again. |

But yeah im keen for whatever, i get back to the real world on the 11th actually, but may be going to a mates place on Morton Island for a few days that week (youd think i wouldve had enough of islands by now). |

The Portside Restaurant. If you're coming off the motorway from Maroochydore, continue down that busy main road until you get to the Kawana shopping centre where Big W etc are. Turn left at the lights and carry on down that road for about 200 metres. Turn left at The Warehouse roundabout and you're on the road where the restaurant is. About half a k down the road bends to the right. Just on that bend is a yacht broker, to the elft of that building is a small wooden (from memory) building. That's the place. I've been going there for a couple of years and it's amazing quality food at excellent prices literally right on the waterfront. It's open something like Wed to Sunday. More expensive at night though. If you visit before, say Tref the Pommie sent you. Anyone else want to meet up? |

Sounds good! There is plenty of parking there and I've personally never seen the filth anywhere near there. During the day would be best (I think they open between 12 and 2pm) so maybe in a couple of days when we've got some numbers we could ring the restaurant and book?
