Not long ago these guys lost the Trust dealership. I'm pretty sure the GCG turbo guys have it now & Ive found their work & professionalism to be miles ahead.
After my visit to Advan & the sh%TTy experience, I'm not surprised. Kept me waiting 2 hours, charged me $150 for 2 dyno runs & didn't even attempt to adjust anything. I walked away very unimpressed & lighter of pocket. I went there for help???
The guys in the shop (on the shop floor) also told me that they weren't that interested in Soarers & that their main focus was Nissans. I ran into another supra owner in the carpark who also warned me off...he actually gave me the contacts at 2 other shops (one was Yavuz) They lost the Trust gig not long after my visit. Not surprised really.
My two cents...& from personal experience, they are expensive & the work, particularly customer service, was totally unsatisfactory.
I talked with many people after that experience & feedback was the same.
Maybe a little input from other established members would help. Proof is in the pudding as they say. No offence to the new members, however unsubstantiated marketing offers from brand newbies creates suspicion & smells of marketing drawcards. Free offerings with no bookings & no guarantees, from brand new members....is there a free lunch with that deal?

I would stay away form these guys.. They obviously know nothing about Toyota engines...

I rang them when i first got my car ( i knew what needed to be done to go well), the guy says.. Oh Sorry we onyl do Cat back exhausts on Soarers, the dumps and front pipe are a waste of time. Also they wanted $2400 for some unkown brand FMIC kit installed.. They also said they didnt know how to install the Greddy Ecu's into Soarers...

Basically... They might know nissans, but know stuff all about Toyota's..

They don't deserve our business.
Stay with the likes of trusted places IE:Unigroup,Yavuz.
I have delt with Yavuz and highly recommend him.

There is also members that do great jobs like Neil,Niel,Lew and Cihan. These members are very valuable and will help you in all ways.

My mate had a S15 required a Powerfc tune . His tune got screwed up from another workshop (after 2 tunes) - so decided to give it another shot... i advised him to goto Unigroup but he couldnt wait so went to Advan... and let me tell you that he wished he'd listen to me in the first place.

Took the car home 1st tune - screwed, took it back 2nd time was - slightly better - but still not 100% Just the hassle of getting the car there organising transport etc... and expense of paying for a tune that wasnt right...

Yeah they are called Autotech in Granville. They have a good 4WD Dyno there. And Spiro the owner is an awesome guy. He will be doing the tuning on my Soarer. :-)

There are only 2 places I will go, both who I have been dealing with for over 3 yrs now.

Yavuz at Unigroup Engineering at Giraween, he's a top bloke, does all performance cars including custom builds, and he knows his stuff. He also treats you like your the only person within 10 kms, and he's honest and efficient.

Spiro at Autotech Engineering, he's straight forward, open, and true to his word, even if something goes wrong, he sticks to his quoted prices and is reliable.

Both of these guys have been working on my cars when things get beyond me, or I dont have the tools for the job, and both have been great and easy to deal with every time.

Spiro quoted me $500 and promised to have my car back to me same day for an injector removal and clean on my old 180sx, I dropped the car off and came back at 4pm when they had removed and just finished the cleaning cycle on the ultrasonic cleaner.

They ended up having issues getting the injectors back in, and at 6pm, he handed me the keys to his own car and said "looks like we wont get yoursback on the road tonight, but take mine if you need a car, and she will be ready by morning".

I didn't take his car, but trusted he would get mine ready, and at 7:45pm, we finally got the injectors back in and they where not leaking.

He didn't charge any extra for the time or labour, and appologised in regards to the extra time taken.

Both these guys are THE BEST I have dealt with.

B.
