Hey guys just letting everyone know about the upcoming event, will be a good day and cheap too if you bring yourself and a couple of mates in 1 car.
January 20th!!
It will be a half day practice (both tracks) from 1pm till 5:30pm. Passenger rides are available as usual so please bring out lots of people and show then what it is like to go drifting!! The cost is $100.
GATE ENTRY is $20 per person, or $40 for a car. eg 3 people in 1 car = $40. 1 person in a car = $20, 6 people in a 4x4 = $40. This does not count for mini buses, buses etc so please don't push the friendship. I worked pretty hard to get us a discount at all so please respect what this means. Volunteers will get in for free, so long as your name is on the gate. You need to contact me to get this to happen so you dont have to pay. WE WANT A BIG CROWD TO SUPPORT DRIFTSTATE in 2008 SO PLEASE BRING ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
So what does this sunday have in store? Well apart from the constant practice, we will be having a 16 CAR INVITATIONAL COMPETITION. This will be the first event of its kind and it will be run every year with the winner going on the trophy which will be passed on from winner to winner.
The competition will be running on the fast track, so 2-dipper-4-5 with a big run up into 2 so we should see some big entry speeds! Look for plenty of smoke around turn 2 then some crazy late braking menouvers into the dipper. It should be a class competition. This years entrants were selected for their efforts in Drift Australia, Super Drift, Driftstate and other local competitions. I must say it was extremely hard to pick on 16 as there are about 25 top drivers in Qld at the moment, but here is what we have come up with:-

This is the top 14 that we could come up with, we did have 16 but due to some people being unable to make it, I have decided to do something a little different. Every competitor on the day will have a chance to get in the competition.
We will also be having a show and shine brought to you by www.theNEXTcarloan.com with 5 trophys and some gift vouchers at Mercury Motorsport on offer. There will be a $10 fee to enter the show and shine and all proceeds go to ClubHighrollers so if you have a worthy car, get along and put it on display!!
