| Add "wedding" in front of any product and the price doubles, it's amazing. But my point still stands, if your wedding puts you in debt so much or prevents you buying a house to spend your life together in, is it really worth it? For one day? Maybe I'm just not romantic enough. My girl says if we ever happen to get married we'll be eloping, which is fine by me. |

| Haha so true Luke. Call up any function venue and book a random function for 100 on a certain day and you'll get a much cheaper price than if you were to call and say that it is a wedding for a 100. But fair point about the debt thing. In my view, unless your parents are paying, it is best to wait, get some more money/house whatever, stand up on your own feet, adn then do it. Alternatively there is always good ol' Vegas, or Bali wedding for 10 People tend to get married at an older age now, late 20s whatever. By then you should be able to afford it a lot more than what say a 21 year old would be able to afford. |

Peter got it. I'll spell it out then. Most expensive day for the guy is the day the divorce settlement comes through. I'm with Luke. Not worth it IMHO. I'd rather spend the lump of cash on a much more kickass honeymoon or something. All the weddings I've been in/to, almost everyone didn't want to be there. Usually incl the groom. |

LOL. Don't be so negative. Just because someone close to you got divorced doesn't mean all of australia does. Hence why you have to find someone that really is for you. And at the end of the day, whether you are married of not, if you are with someone for years, and you break up, she still has a case just as if she was married to you.

Hence why you ask the guests to chip into your honeymoon fund as a present. We've doen it for all my friends that got married, they didn't have to add a cent and they got a kickass honemoon.

| Most of the readers would already have an opinion of the various posters to the forum. More clutter and combative posts won't alter that and just don't belong here. It's not a case of right or wrong, simply that SC isn't the place that I want to be used as a battlefield for vindictive combatants. Good healthy debate is encouraged, personal stuff isn't. It's all covered pretty well in the Rules, and as much as I would rather not have rules, these battles demonstrate the need for them. It wouldn't hurt if everyone had another read of the Rules occasionally, they aren't harsh, and are mainly aimed towards keeping SC enjoyable for as many readers as possible. There are plenty of forums out there that tolerate and possibly even encourage personal vendettas, it's sport to some people I guess. I would like to think that over time, most members of SC can not only learn stuff about their cars, but perhaps also gain a little more tolerance, understanding, and general wisdom from reading the views of others and participating as members of a community. So how about you guys try to help and lead the pack by good example rather than dragging it into the gutter? |

| Thank you Peter. Well said and it was getting to the time where someone had to say something. Must you guys get at each other all the time? Can neither of you be the bigger man/adult and just ignore it and move on or take it to PM so we dont have to filter through all your vendettas when all we want to do is find out more about our beloved Soarers? Just to highlight one example of the many, Stephanies great news of getting married some how turned into something about whether one of you is racist or not. C'mon guys, seriously. Stephanie: Congratulations on the wedding best of luck with the organisation phase, enjoy it you only have to do it once regardless of any stats. That is true, its sad but its just how the industry is, even in DJing. Normal function = $x Wedding = $2x minimum I think its because 'weddings' are essential events that most people will encounter whereas, the average function ie 21st bday party is not as essential, so weddings have a much higher demand enforcing a higher price structure. Weddings are the backbone of my DJ business. Daniel: I've DJed many times at Tawarri and in my opinun it is a great venue. Looks nice for photos etc. Can't complain about the food when I've been there. | Green soarer with lexus badging in a driveway for the past few weeks just down the road from me at a house at the top of whichman rd in attadale. You probably hear me burning up the hill every now and then......lol Also a soarer in the Left Bank car park, the one under the Stirling Hwy bridge, parked there on regular occasions, probably works there? Has a nice new respray, black base with the red pearl through it. Looks good |
