Hey guys
my 1JZ has a big end knock and will need a replacement motor installed, i have sourced a motor but need someone to install
any idea who could do a the swap for me? even if its a backyard cashy job it would be great because paying a workshop $80 an hour to do it doesnt seem to good

Hey mate, if you are afraid of labour costs then good ol Mr. Shane Ilich has done a lot of work to his car himself and may be able to offer some ideas.

Not sure about a full engine however he has defiantly manualised his car (twice? >.>) and swapped to a single turbo setup.

C-Red will do it for about 3k. They will source their own motor though.

yup ben at kyp did it for about 1800 + motor before.. but he doesnt really like soarers :-)

Not what he tells me. He hates MarkII's more because theres no room in the engine bay haha.
