I'm in, not sure where to go though? Perhaps a small-medium cruise then end up at a pub for booze/pool/lunch perhaps?

November sounds good, I might have another car by then and those at uni should be finished exams around then.

The first week of November is Spring Carnival, so maybe the weekend of the 8/9th or 15/16th of November?

It gives people a bit of time to organise themselves and their cars + should guarantee good weather.

Country pub sounds good too - maybe back up through King Lake again?

Ok well maybe try these dates and see what the majority prefer:

25/26th October
1/2nd November
8/9th November
15/16th November

Personally I vote one of the November dates.

Fine, i would have preferred a early date so we could organise more events over the summer, but seeing as everyone wants later.

25/26th October - 0
1/2nd November - 0
8/9th November - 0
15/16th November- 4

Ok lets get this rolling seeing its only a month away.

The majority seem ok with the weekend of 15/16th November - so that can be the date.

Now where to go? It 'should' be good weather so my suggestions are:

Great Ocean Rd/Otways run:
Will be a slow/moderate cruise along Great Ocean Rd on the way down there due to traffic, but will open up a bit past Lorne. On the way back through the Otways is open, twisty roads where you can basically drive to your limit (or above Morgan ). Will take a full day approx.

Kinglake/Healsville/Blackspur run:
Go through northern suburbs up through Kinglake, down to Healsville and then through the Spur. A fun trip with a good mix of roads. However cops may still be targeting Black Spur area?. Will take a full day approx.

Sugarloaf Reservoir/Kinglake:
Not too sure about this but basically a smaller version of the above. Roads seem to be ok in the area. Could stop at Yarra Glen for lunch. Will be shorter than other two - approx half a day.

Get on google maps people and look for some good runs, then put down preferences or suggestions.

Then we can create a new thread with all the detail.

Ok guys lets copy the Kinglake-Warbuton cruise we had last year. That was awesome fun. It has a good mix of roads and scenery.

SOARER/CELSIOR CRUISE SUMMER 2008 #1

Date: Saturday 15th or Sunday 16th (majority wins)
Time: 10:30am meet?
Main Meet Location: TBC
Destination:
Kinglake - Healsville - Marysville - Reefton - Warbuton.
(Suggested only can make alterations or drop off where ever you want). To make it a bit shorter we can go through Sugarloaf Reservoir/Yarra Glen rather than Kinglake.

OR

Warbuton - Reefton - Marysville - Healsville

This is the reverse way to make it shorter, we can end up Healsville for lunch at a pub then those who want can continue or simply go home.

Lunch: A country pub somewhere along the way?

If people are ok with that date, put down your preferred date and i'll make a new thread with all the detail.

I'll bring a chain this time too so your phone doesn't end up in the middle of the road again!

As of today I'm back in a Manual + LSD = So cant wait for this, although after not driving a manual for 18 months my clutch control leaves a little to the imagination
