haha I think you are talking about the black thing on the door just beside the window.. right?
Well.. usually they stays black.. but my one.. was silver when I bought this car.. because the black cover was broken and that's how something shiny silver over there came out..
so I've placed some silver door guard(bit) on the door to match with it and to also protect the door from getting scratch with other cars or walls'.. cause my mates don't care anything.. they always bang and smash the door poor me

Since the last time i was there new semi slick tyres, boost guage stock running 8 to 9 and serviced the car on sunday and put a *boost tap* so should be running 13.5 psi to be safe. and 26 to 22 psi on the tyres. I want to see how far i can push it totally stock before i start the mod bug

Just like to share my experience at the drags yesterday with you guys.
I showed up with no spare tyre boost controller set on 12 psi, tyres on 25 psi and started racing first run got 15.6 with a 2.3 60 footer and 90 miles per hour
second run i went one better and did a 15.3 with 89mph and 6.22 60 footer
third run was the best off the night boosted it to 13.5 psi and got a 15.1 with a 2.4 60 footer but 92 miles per hour. Now by this time i thought something was wrong so on the return road i floored it a little and it seemed like every time i would put my foot down i would get massive slip from the gearbox while moving slowly before picking up and moving.
Now by the looks of things my miles per hour is crap and i am very dissapointed at that for a 2.2 60 footer and 6.something 330 feet i should be getting 14s i am very angry and dissapointed and do not have a single clue of what the issue could be.

is your door open? it looks like it hey
Id say thats the door rubber you are seeing, when the scrivety things get loose, it comes out a little and gets jammed in the door a little.
Leo, going by your mph, you have just run out of fasts. 92-93mph is about right for a 15 flat, have a look at your exhaust, transmission, compression etc and anything else that could stop you getting more power than you should have.

Leo there is def something wrong with your car mate.
Your 60fts are average and so is the MPH.... By the sounds of things it sounds like your gearbox might be slipping? Your 60fts should be atleast 1.9 if not better.
How are you stalling it up on take off??
Actually after saying all this i am forgeting that the weather is shocking at the moment. So that could be the reason. Then again you did say it doesnt feel right.

Well the power on the 13.5 psi run felt like a 9 psi run on the actuall run but then on the return road it did go up to 13.5 psi or more and slipped on the gearbox.
the night was pretty hot and i know my 60 footer is average but its not for a 15s pass. mph is 90 dont know why its not going over 92. I had the gearbox checked by a trans repair place and he said its fine all it needs is a fluid change and offered a service with a shift kit which he has done previously to many soarers for $500 and also recommended a trans cooler. The slipping issue is non existing when the boost is stock up to 12 psi once i hit more then 13.5 psi it started to slip yesterday
i will try get a dyno readout to see if its making the correct power and a/f ratio.
keep in mind the car is totally stock with only a pod filter as a mod. i have also adjusted the pressure line cable a bit because it was loose and it already feels alot better.
I am really upset because it should have been a 14 second pass at the very least. I really need to get this issue sorted as it feels very quick but the times do not show it. having driven an evo 6 a galant vr4 a cordia fwd with massive power and been in numerous massive power cars i know what quick is and this is quick.

If you running a stock ECU it will be very rich above 4000rpm. Better off paying Daniel $50.00 to run it for you, he could tell you if there is anything wrong with it and probably run a mid-low 14. He ran a 12.296 in my car when my best was a 12.3 but I came back next time and ran a 12.284!!

I was hoping he would show up to see what he would say about the car but he didnt. Now my best run with 15.1 was when the boost was 12 and felt like 9, shifting wise i stalled on 1st gear then took it all the way up then changed to second but it didnt change straight away took a while then changed to second then took that all the way up to 6500 then changed to D, all this with o/d off and power mode on.

Thanks, Try just leaving it in Drive next time, I find changing manually is useless in my car as it takes so long to react and over revs, I think this would definitely slow you down. I noticed when Daniel took me for a spin in his car a while ago the gear changes as soon as its shifted.

rob i tried with the manual gearshifting as that was something different i normally leave it on D and that has only gotten me 15.4 and above so with the manual shifting i got a good time. I was also stalling it upto 2300 with only footbrake and accelerator, i tried with the handbrake but still could not do better
Steve whos niall and how do i get in contact with him

Either way, that mph is way too low for a stock example. SHould be high 90's for sure, regardless of 60' . What kind of Air filter has it got? When was it last serviced? What type of spark plugs and how old ?
Is the compliance Cat under the car really small and being super restrictive ?
Even on a mild temp night like last night, 13.5psi should see 100mph without a drama imo.

Daniel
Thats my thinking exactly, air filter is pod (clean one, dont no brand name), last serviced on the sunday before going to WSID (oil, oil filter), spark plugs are iridiums and have only been on the car for about a month or 2 and where checked.
about the cat looks normal dont no how small it is but it does have a a label on it REDBACK
I was barely nudging 150kmph on the speedo by the time i got to the end of the quarter.
