O.k just a little update.....
Had a cruise with the J.C Boys and ladies on the weekend, It looks like we MAY be having a police/police spec radar gun for the day so there will be accurate speed/top speed for the day,not sure if it does timing yet~ also it seems that lunch will be included~ not sure about drinks just yet but.....
Also they are looking into a compressor and rattle gun/air tools for the day~ not sure about jacks etc but i'm sure a few people will bring some anyway~
Few other things in the works to make the day worth the $$$ so I will let you know as it comes to light |

Hey, just wanted to find out what special requirements are needed? such as tape over lights, sticker for battery location, fire extinguisher or 2nd bonnet restraint? |

Sounds like they are dropping like flies. I'm asking a couple of mates if they are interested, but they have some work to do to get cars ready and are not to sure at this stage.
I,however, am ticking off the days until the end of the month.

Rob, Joel ahs said he has to pull out due to turbo troubles ? COntact Joel and see how ya go mate. Just remember, Auto + track day = 1 very hot auto. Try and fit an external trans cooler ( big one ) before you go, and drop some decent oil in the trans too, ( if you havent already ). |

I do have an External trans cooler already but I will look out for a bigger one and trans fluid was done about 3 months ago when I fitted the shift kit.

Some news, there may be another six positions opening up.
Please read the first post before making a decision and at this later stage I would have to say its full amount non refundable, so think about it before making a decision!
And Dan's right on the ball, unfortunately I'm out due to turbo dramas (of sorts) which I won't have sorted till the end of Jan/early Feb.
Rob, consider the spot yours, Unfortunately I have paid full amount.... I will confirm with the co ordinator this swap and if you want I can get him to email a confirmation the position is fully paid before you pay. |

Yeah, I just got an email from Matt. He is looking for a minimum of two extra cars, but as six have dropped out I'm sure he'd take a few if the interest was there.
I hope all the drop outs aren't Soarer guys. (We have a pretty ••••• attendance record) If they are mostly Commodore guys, then the day may end up a defacto Soarer event!
For anyone considering this but concerned about how they or the car would go- don't be.
My stock engined manual was eating some pretty impressive cars at Wakefield, 6.0L V8 commodores included. The brakes held up fine, as did the rest of the car. And believe me, I gave it hell.
Secondly, this track day is being run as a social event. I get the impression that it'll be a first for quite a lot of guys.
Last- $250 is only two tanks of gas and a carton of beer, or a tank of gas and three cartons of grog. Go without a cruise and a few drinks and it has paid for itself.    |

Nar Rob, I drive my car everyday, and the idea of flogging the ass out of it, for 20 minute sessions all day, In the end of january in HOT summer conditions, going through a full set of tyres, plus front pads, plus alot of fuel, plus the $250 to get in doesnt really impress me either !
Not the cheapest of hobbies . |
