Hi again boys and girls,
Well as you know my last effort to organise a cruise ended as i was going to take us to a construction site haha.
SOOOOOOOO ive bumped the date back a week and ONE DAY so i dont land it on Valentine's day which im sure ALL of you lads will fighting the good fight on that day. *best of luck too you ! haha*
We are heading NORTH from Brissy this time to hopefully encourage some of you Sunny Coasters etc to get involved.
As usual , im going regardless and if you guys are keen to come along, id love to have you.
WHAT ? Soarer Cruise
WHEN ? Sunday 15th FEB 2009.
DETAILED TIMINGS
- Meet at BRISBANE AIRPORT at the "Southern Cross" plane thingo carpark @ 0845
- Depart Brisbane Airport NLT 0915
- Arrive at Destination by 1130 (including pit stops etc)
Anything else? We will head up the freeway and onto the Sunshine Motorway. Then onto the David Low way for a nice costal drive.
Lunch will be had at Noosa at the REEF hotel up on the hill.
** OKAY i have put the meet up location at the Airport as then if any people are coming from the GOLD COAST it is easier for them to meet up with us all.
** When you sign up please put where you are meeting up.
** If anyone has any ideas on some nice roads to take please let me know, otherwise it will be a rather sedate drive as opposed to some of the others we have done in the past haha

Ahh no good Dave, i dont think ONE of these recent cruises has suited you... are you avoiding us ?
I did consider byron.. but thought NORTH needs a go as then Peter and his fellow north coast / gympie / bundy folk may come along also |

my mum's thinking of buying a soarer, cause she loved driving mine when she was over recently, so is there any chance i could tag along for the cruise as i may be over staying with mum in mooloolaba, at start of february, for a couple weeks?? |

James, great to have a cruise happening up here, albeit slow.
If you like I can map out a bit of a quicker route for you to take on your way up. I might come down to take in that part myself.
I'm also hoping to have my Unichip fitted by then and it might need a bit of a workout. |

Hi Mike,
Yeh that would be great, the route is (as always) very much open to interpretation at this stage. I was considering heading out towards the glasshouse mountains... but i didnt want to force too many people to drive for too long. The last one we did a fair few kms and i dont think that suited everyone.
But yeh - im keen for whatever ! Ill keep my fingers crossed for you car to be ready by then mate.
Caleb - So are you going to be staying in Mooloolaba? Do you need someone to pick you up or will you have a car ?

Hey guys another cruise yeehaa.
Maybe the sunny coast crew and folk from further north could meet up with the Brissy crew at Eumundi,there are some quite good twisty bit's just west of there,out towards Kenilworth and around through Cooroy,then down to Tewantin and lunch at the Reef, then everyone can make there own way home from there.
If anyone has any other suggestions feel free,

hopefully i will be able to drive my mum's new beast if i come, but it all depends if i'm able to come over. i'll let you guys know sooner to date. if i didn't have a ride, if i could bum a seat with someone would be awesome lol.
across from the Eumundi markets is the best cafe i've ever been to. it was called treefellers i'm pretty sure. it's got an open bar and seating out the back under the trees in the shade or in the sun. sorry thought i'd just add that cause i went there a couple times mid last year and it was brilliant lol |

Maybe all ideas could be incorporated.
Turn off highway at Caloundra exit. Meet upper Sunshine coast people here. Head up Mooloolah connection Road to Palmwoods-Mooloolah Road to Palmwoods, right into Woombye-Palmwwods Road, right into Nambour connection Road and left again onto highway.
Meet up with anyone who does not want to come down to Caloundra turnoff at Eumundi to take further drive before lunch as suggested.

Carla, let's meet up for coffee beforehand. The others won't be up here until about 10.30-10.45 I reckon.

OK SOUNDS GOOD !
We may roll up the coast pick up any people from Mooloolaba if need be, then continue along the bruce highway up to EUMUNDI. Then a fun drive, then to Noosa then lunch.

Yes that is plan now at this stage. All the way up the Bruce highway now. To EUMUNDI then onto some nice driving around that area (not sure where yet)
