hey people in a bit of trouble here, my car seems to be having problems starting and when it does start it can be anywhere between 5 seconds+ before it decides to stall, i'm going to check out the electrical side of things tomorrow "if" i can get my car out of my street, but from reading the topics around here it seems it could be a fuel related problem so here is my ?.. how can i tell if this problem is with my fuel pump or fuel ecu thingy? also where would be the best place to replace these item(s) if need be, i'm stuck in mandurah atm, also where would be the best place to get these fitted in mandurah?

A sidestep slightly, what sort of symptoms lead you to believe the theories you have come up with? Some info on what testing/troubleshooting you have done may help paint a picture for those with more skills than me =P

well i figure since all the power is on the alternator/battery must be fine, when i try start the car it turns over it just dont really turn on. also whats happening to the car was the exact same sort of stuff that happened to a mates 180sx, he ended up needing a new fuel pump. It really is odd though it was absolutly fine yesterday, and now it's not. The most up part is that i'm having a small week long holiday so i was relying on my car, also the fact that i'm stuck down here at my parents place as i live in murdoch atm.

my car did the same thing from wat it sounds... pull the fuel pump relay out and swap it with one the same from near by. the relay is in the box under the bonnet on the lh side, its a metal round relay. try that.
