Hey matt,i can understand the commodores what's the problem with skylines they are people always very helpful man and all the cruises of skyline australia is open for the soarers.Why they are not invited? |

Cause this is Soarer Central. Not Soarer, Skyline, Silvia, Supra, WRX, 3000GTO central. This club and this forum was established for people who own and are into Soarers. Cruises have only ever been soarers and thats the way I plan to keep it. Jordon and his WRX are the first Non soarer car to join in on cruises and thats only cause he had a soarer for a few years prior to being rear ended and attended just about every event. Its not just you mate, lately every cruise I have organised I get people asking if friends can come in their silvias or skylines and I tell them no too, and its not just the fact they drive different cars, its the fact they aren't even members.
Sorry mate, if they are that keen to cruise there are intra car club cruises just about every weekend, try antilag, motavate etc etc.

Ever heard a Skyline or VL Turbo fly past you, let it off and all you hear is like a prolonged CHU CHU CHU sound ??? thats air bouncing of the turbo blades and going through the dose pipe. |

Mine does that CHOO CHOO noise too when I release the accelerator slowly. Does this mean I have the dose pipe effect? I thought it was just the BOV releasing small pumps of air out the filter via plumb-back. |

mine will just have one big "CHOOSH" noise when im going slower and release about 3k revs it will go CHOO CHOO CHOO CHOO?... i love that noise, any specific BOV that do this? |

The standard plumb-back bov will do it at low revs when you release it slowly, this is called compressor surge but a dose pipe is set up to basically force air back through the turbo to create this noise. Yeah it sounds cool, but people dont realise the kind of damage you are doing. |

Definitely. Its a good way to shorten the life of your turbo's.
I've noticed Ty, you've made a few posts on doing small mods to your car, if you need help or advice on anything you've come to the right place, most people here, like myself will help you out. |

yeah i know im stoked hey!! finally someone i can talk to other than my girlfriend, who when i say something about cars she rolls her eyes huffs and pretend to look interested hahahah!
all i need is a job to pay for all these! i have a vision for my TT, when money persists it involves, 3inch Exhaust into twin 2.5, (possibly brand new coils and connectors before), FMIC, maybe even fixing the radiator first, haha! then maybe a body kit.
vertex is nice but i like the WIDE vertex i dunno i need a list of body kits for the soarer, then im going all out with a build single turbo rebuild.. probably a paint job before all this my car is dodge! then i want to redo the interior, i saw a photo of someones soarer on here, the interior was redone to black and ivory( i loved it) and would probably do something REALLY similiar, im not bothered by stereo systems at the moment, stock is good enough for me.
i'd rather go performance,looks,ICE.
im pretty excited hey! but looking at 20k+ but happy to spend the cash.
can't wait to cruise! |

Take it from me, fix problems on the car first before you start modding, if you have problems and start modding you will cause more problems and then wont have money to fix them cause you've caught the power bug. |

Indeed, fix before you mod. Freshen things up a little so you have a clean car to start with.
I once had big dreams for my Soarer at one stage, but I have to try to hold myself these days for many reasons. As it is now, I really enjoy it not breaking down on me anymore.
Oh as for the interior, if you want tips, ask me. I've re-done mine in black/red from a spruce interior. |
