Hey Ash can you set it up so that everyone get mailed at least a week in advance and then again 24hrs prior to the event. Would be good to give people to make schedule changes or decide whether they can come, then those that can come get a reminded the night before to avoid accidental no shows and therefore smaller numbers.

Oh yes, I can't set it up automatically but I can do it manually. Even though I might not actually show up to EVERY single event. I don't think I'll have an issue emailing everyone.

Now we just need to decide what time frame people need? I'd say anyone that wants to organise something should give at least 3 weeks notice for starters.

I'd say if we get a suggestion for doing something on the forums, then finalise a date with the regulars then a week and a half notice for people who arent on the forums would suffice. Then again the night before and leave it be after that. Whoever rocks up rocks up and those that dont then we wont worry too much about. Thats my suggestion anyway. Also i would give people too much notice, say no more than 2 weeks as people will forget about it and plan on doing something else. Then when they get the 24hr reminder they will have double booked the day/time. I think a week and a half gives plenty notice and there isnt such a huge gap for people to commit and forget about the event.

Well David, agreed.
I think 1.5-2 weeks notice is good enough.

Also if you check out the events page I've posted the first Soaring SA event! Woo.

Oh, and Tam cause I'm messing with PHP I have to upload to check stuff. So try again and you should be ok.

I'm using firefox... That's what I've been testing it in.

There is an alternative address if soaringsa.com doesn't work.

I can bring the new company car along for a wash, ahahaha. I killed the viva within 72hrs of picking it up, so they have given me an astra to use until it is fixed. The fact that it is turbo 6spd kinda makes up for the fact that it is actually a kia in disguise! lol

Went ok for a girls car, didnt even have a temp gauge though... lol

Had to give it back today, the viva was fixed. All it needed was new cam cover gaskets, cam seals, rear main seal, front main seal, timing belt and a gearbox. Quality FTL

Just to let people know that they should check their junk mail or spam folders and mark the SoaringSA emails as safe as i just stumbled across it in my junk mail. Probably be good Ash if you could mention something on the SoaringSA.com page that people should check their junk mail/spam box just incase relevant stuff goes there. Last thing we need is to set all this up and then have all info going to spam and people thinking there are no events on, would defeat the purpose of the site getting more members. At your own time Ash :-)

I would suggest that if Torana is introduced it would replace the Epica or Vectra, rather than the Astra!
