Hopefully time permitting i will come down for a run on Saturday, take the soarer out or if i finish off some more work on the Celica i will bring that down, would be interesting down the front straight with the power to weight that its got !!
Hey Justin, do i need a Cams license if just going out on the track on Saturday, as there is no official racing / competing on the day according to the Reg's ??

rob you need to be a cams member and piarc member to drive on the track!
you can pay for them on the day if you decide to come down. Piarc 1yr membership is now $30 and the cams license is $95. so $125 plus entry for the day and you can get out on the track!
Saturday runs basically the same as Sunday but you usually get more track time and have passenger rides ,you only miss out on lap timing which happens on Sunday!

As James said, you need to at least be a member of an affiliated car club, and as it is a Speed Event, you need the L2S Licence. |

I'm looking forward to this event !!
Is it still feasible to enter on the Day ? Do i need to print off the Supp reg's before hand ? or will there be some on the day to fill out ? Anyone know how the numbers are going ? Still thinking of making it just for the Saturday run ..

I would recommend filling out your entry form and posting it off with a note at the bottom saying "cash on the day"; that way you're IN .....
If you decide not to enter on the day, then, you don't !!!!! ... PIARC will allocate your entry 'space' to someone else if there is a reserve list.
They won't come after you for $$$ if you enter and then decide not to play |

has everyone booked accommodation?
I am still tossing up between running street tyres and 19s or finding some 17inch semis.
Are there any problems with running 19s on the track? 35 series low profiles? |

Street tyres will be fine for your first time, they'll most likely need replacing when you get home though !!!!!! |

I still have the 17s i bought off you a while back, but the rears hit the guards. Will try to roll them and see if i can get clearance.

Will something like this happen again soon? I was really looking forward to it!
But it doesn't look like ill have my single on in time as I couldn't get the bottom nuts off the manifold so I have given up and my mech is not free for a while, and If I stick with my twins ill be limited as I tend to blow some smoke at high rpms and dont want to ruin other peoples fun. |

Hi, i'm in need of some answers ..
I've done some club track work years ago, but in the 6 months that i have had my Soarer i have never really punished the brakes that hard on the road, just wondering from other peoples experiences how the brakes hold up for punishement, mainly in the pad issue area for going around the Island ( by the way its a TT Auto ) ..
I'm running Bendix Semi Metalic pads front & rear, what's the consensus as to wether these will hold up ok ??

Yeah mate - you'll be fine - just bring a NEW set of stock TOYOTA pads to drive home on !!!!! 
I don't know about the pads you mention, but they sound pretty rugged 
Man, the first time I did PI, I ran stock pads which were already worn and they only lasted 2 sessions !!!!!!!

We have a few confirmed spectators also and we have found in the past that it can be difficult finding a feed on Saturday night for a large party.
Suze is going to hunt down a restaurant for Saturday night.
I need names of those who will be there for dinner.
