Will be heading out this Wednesday 10th of June, hoping to see some other Soarers out there. Should be fun.
I still have the single spinner diff, but the new kumho tyres I have should help with the bad launches I have been having the last few times I have headed out to WSID. They feel a lot more grippy than my last tyres. I will be happy with a 2.0 60 foot anything else quicker would be a bonus.

Just got back from WSID. Was the only Soarer there but had a lot of fun. Was a very busy night, got 5 runs in, and I was there from the start. On my 1st pass left the line with only 4psi boost at roughly 2800rpm, and it was wheelspin through 1st and 2nd gear. Had to back off it completely and got back on it around half track. I forgot to have O/D off aswell, lol. Shocker of a run ended up with a 14.880@103.6mph. (Got 14.395@94.99mph stock, lol). The track was like ice no grip whatsoever all cars were just wheelspinning.
It got better for my next 4 runs though. Stalled it up to around 2500rpm left the line with like 3psi, gripped ok still initailly spun had to gradually put the throttle down on all the rest of the runs to leave the line half decently. These were the next 4 runs in order.Runs 2 and 3 had some axle tramp aswell. I need a LSD I think that should help out the 60 footers hopefully, aswell as changing the stock dumps.
Pretty happy with my consistent times. Was hoping for a 12.999 or better and I achieved it on the 2nd pass.
Found out there is a Race for Real Event this Saturday the 13th of June 2009. I will take it out again racing starts from 10am and goes to 6pm. Hoping some Soarers can come out to make it a few of us. I am hoping to run a 12.7 or 12.8 see if I can get it to hook up off the line a tiny bit better.
Then I won't race it again until I get dump pipes installed, custom airbox installed, LSD Diff and a retune on 17psi.

Gday Manual! just wondering what ecu you are running? Daniel tells me the blitz is pretty good but i cant seem to find anyone in Syd. that sells them
Hey Slav,
I am no expert when it comes to these things but as I understand.
The Blitz ECU is a replacement of the stock ECU.
Whereas the Computer I am using is called a TSI/Powermod. It piggybacks the stock ECU.
Unigroup Engineering recommended this computer for my car and I have had no complaints so far.
I think you should wait and see if someone responds in this thread who has a better idea. And that is roughly 99% of the people on these forums, lol
What I understand is that replacement ECU's like the Blitz or Mine are already pretuned on another modified vehicle, so they may vary from ECU to ECU on how well the tune is.
So you might have 2 the same Blitz ECU's, but they will be totally different from eachother when it comes to how they are tuned and how they perform.

I will answer all your questions as best I can. Like I said, I dont claim to be an expert in Soarers, If I know the answer I will be as helpful as I can be.
Another Soarer will be there, he is the man to talk to if you have a question I can't answer. Looking forward to seeing you there. You should run the car and see how you go. Its a lot of fun in a controlled environment, and if the car is stock its good to get a baseline
