Sorry, I know this is the wrong area but I need some help in Perth with a 32 Suspension fault. If anyone else in WA has a 32 I'd be happy to hear from them. I really need to know if there are any mechanics in Perth that are experts in the 32.

Hi Troy Perhaps if you post up the fault you have with your car we can ease the pain of fixing the car.. depending on the fault it may be possible to use a good mech that has no experience to resolve your issues. A number a people on the forum are 32 guru's Peter T

Peter, the problem is that when I bought my 32 the suspension was leaking, I had the rams rebuilt (Seals replaced). Since then the passenger front has always sunk if the car was parked for a while. Also the passenger front wheel will bottom out it seems and hit the inside of the guard when I hit a bump or gully too fast, usually only at 80km/h plus.
I tried to get it to do the suspension check and when it lifts to full height the passenger front is still a little lower than the rest of the car.
The passenger rear my be a bit lower too, it's hard to tell.
I'll try to find out more about the 'replacement seals', all I know is that it isn't leaking now.

Give Joe a call, not sure if he's done any work with the 32's, but he has quite a bit of Soarer experience and is a great mechanic. Hollywood Joe - O408 935 7OO.

Troy, it appears that, even though you have had the upper parts of the struts rebuilt, that the sagging problem is from this area. First option that I would recommend is to outsource re-hardchroming of your upper shafts back to standard specifications. Peter Taplin (Victoria) is the acknowledged guru in this field and he's a great bloke, open to discuss your suspension problems/solutions.

Think I know what the problem is, Joe has had a look at it. Can't remember right now what he said it was but I'll post it when I find out. No easy fix I'm afraid, as usual but i'll live with it for now.

Hi Troy Sorry about the daly in replying..
The issue you have is related to a seal i the upper section of the strut, it is common for these to leak down shortly after having the upper section of the struts done. This seal requires a perfect shaft to seal, the new seal will in fact in most cases be worse than the old one as the old one sits into the wear grooves in the shaft. This is not the external seal but the one that is on the shaft and integral with the shaft bush.
Also check the bump stops and get the heights adjusted once the repair has been done.
To check the seal is the problem.. lock of the hose from the front strut from under the guard using a fuel line clamp and leave the car o'nite if the car does not leak down as much (it will still sink) then our issue is this seal and it can be repaired in the car quite easily. If your mech needs any help get him to give me a call. PT good Luck
