Looks like I will be relocating to Northern NSW or Sth QLD at the end of the year. I have grown quite fond of making the trek down to Wakefield park, and Oran park although that is going to disappear at the end of the year anyway.
On the upside, QLD Raceway(Willowbank or whatever it is called) and Morgan park will be 2-3 hours drive away.
Having a quick scan through this QLD section there is a little drifting, a little drag racing, but doesn't seem to be any track day participation. I would really like to continue to participate in motorsport at the grass roots level in the new area. I am not particularly interested in drifting as I prefer to be fast through a corner, not pretty, and I have done the drag racing thing and don't find it all that interesting- too much pushing your through staging lanes car rather than racing it.
SO, if you are involved in a (proper) car club, attend track days, or can point me in the right direction to get established in the new area feel free to post away. I am well aware that there may be other track in the area that I have missed, and a quick Google shows there seem to be a few events run on temporary road courses as well.

Yup... Lakeside.. ill be throwing my GT starlet round the track on the 30th, should be fun indeed. Bet ill wanna buy those semi-slicks though before my NEXT one after that haha
