I know a dude who runs it in his EVO...apparently it's 100% reliable no problems with big power.

Yeah i know that you can make large power through advancing. Just curious to know anyone running it on a 1JZ. The only place that sells it at the pump is a distance from my place so was thinking about running a mini servo at my place and getting a drum of it haha

I'm sure someone has done it on a 1JZ or even 2JZ but I figure if skylines/silvia's etc can run it, you should be fine.

Probably upgrade your fuel lines and stuff also because apparently it eats em on the skylines and silvia's.

LPG kicks ass.

Its just that there are too many clowns in the LPG conversion industry.

Cams soarer is running a 10:1 compression 1JZ and a single HX35 at 18psi, making in excess of 300rwkw. 400kms from a 58L fill that costs $35 - similar cost per km as a 55kw petrol Hyundai.

Not only that, from a legal standpoint an LPG 91 soarer can have any engine / emissions modifications you like as long as its road worthy.

When the comp is lifted thermal efficiency goes up nicely, and the engine runs stone cold compared to petrol. The heat energy required to heat LPG from liquid state to gaseous state means intake temps easily drop close to or below ambient on boost and high revs - similar to alcohol / E85.

An LPG conversion for the 1JZ also means no boost cut and no rev limiter. Blow through venturi type systems are available, they meter gas flow vs airflow identical to a carburettor - air fuel ratios are rock solid accurate past red line, in essence self tuning. Use the correct metering rod and screw up the boost.

An LPG 1UZFE with a single turbo, for example, is a ridiculously good idea.

Cam's proof of concept LPG 1JZ (2500cc) with 10:1 compression.

Cihan;
Exactly mate LPG is the way to go.
No body wanted to buy the wifes V8
SO
the whipple comes off the surf and on to her car with an adaptronic running stock injectors and LPG straight through the supercharger.
the system is just like a rising rate reg BUT one made for LPG hence more boost more gas straight from the bottle no gas converter .
we will see how it goes within a couple of months
the wife (later nextweek ) will havea Jeep grand loradoto drive so it will be time for me to start playing again.hehehheheh i can hardly wait....

Nope, head machined. Stock pistons, rods, head gasket, head, rod & main bolts.

Awesome, that sounds like an awesome setup- is it direct injection and is the tank mounted in the spare wheel well? I was talking to Neil Griffiths I was interested in his setup, though I've heard direct injection prevents a lpg only system (according to a xr6t mob) as they setup a switch over at high power I believe...

Nope its straight gas, using Gas Research gear and an APA replacement tank. Not direct injection, its using an LPG throttle body so the system is completely mechanical. The LPG throttle body provides LPG vs airflow and the B2 converters use a pressure feed to increase LPG proportional to boost. A metering rod is milled and altered for additional enrichment VS throttle position.

Better than injection in my opinion.

Hi Cihan, can you explain why you like this method better than injection thanks
