Maybe the reason being there isn't much soarers at that cruise is the such short notice you gave before the cruise

I take it then they'll all be doing doughies there if they are trying to avoid police attention. As for detectable mods, no need to delay cruise details until the last day if your scared of police attention.

If this is true then as far as I know Anti-lag are the only crew that do this.

You assume alot of things...

Anti-lag cruises tend to bring a very big crowd, which brings alot of attention from mr policeman with his trusty old pen in his left hand and yellow sticker book in his right hand.

Sorry Matt, car is MIA.

Boris, that's the best way to deter unwanted attention from both cops and idiots in their v6 bangers on an open cruise.

Very little.

You'll find the antilag cruise tend to be of a higher standard than your typical cruise. Performance cars only, no neons, no cranking stereos, no revving engines etc...

I would have gone had I not have work the next day.

Anti-lag are a good group, they helped organise the memorial cruise for my friend and her boyfriend. That was one of the best cruises I have been in, shameful for the circumstances that brought it together though.

However it is now 11:47pm and I have already heard there has been an accident on Hepburn on the way to the second spot.

Hi,

Decided to drop past and check out a few of the cars, was exactly what I expected.

People doing skids in the carpark and other stuff, not surprised to see 2 ambulances rushing like crazy back toward the 1st point as I was going to the next meet spot.

Got to see a whole lot of people being pulled over on the way to the second checkpoint, and some just stopping their cars to avoid being pulled over.

After the second spot lost track of where people were going, cruised upto Upper swan and that was it.

Saw a few cars being towed away, heard people talking about a car that got smashed real badly on the cruise, and somebody else being rear ended and another person got clipped on the rear.

When you have over 500 cars show up, that going to happen.

Apart from the 5-6 rear endings it was a pretty good cruise.
Bulk skids at last meet point

hills run was wicked (Although got stuck behind a commodore...would have liked to get past him but he never gave us room..)

i didn't see any skids at the first meetpoint, and we left mid-pack, so i have no idea what you're talking about. Most of the skids were done at the last meetpoint and usually the T-Intersections in the middle of nowhere.

Was a pretty good cruise. Few commodores rear ending each other but thats nothing out of the ordinary :-) My mate got done by the anti-hoon laws for dropping a skid at the lights not realising that there was an undercover cop a few cars back...unlucky but oh well at least he'll learn

If you don't like it, don't go. Simple really.

Obviously you do not tolerate that kind of stupidity Boris and nor do I, and we all know the genre of people OPEN antilag cruises attract. I for one, am not a fan of the immaturity levels of the people that go on them cruises, therefore I do not go.

I am not saying it is the club members that are the morons, but more of Bob's mates, mate that heard about the cruise that have no clue on general cruise behaviour and rules.

End of the story, it's expected. Nothing surprising there. Do not know why I bother stating the obvious, but you should have known already.

/end rant

I'm not complaining, I'm just surprised at how I'm being called pessimistic by somebody who said there wouldn't be revving engines, neons and cranking stereos, and then surprise surprise come the cruise haha. Guess you underestimated bobs mates.

That being said, looks like future Anti-lag cruises will be invite only.

Have been on a couple of antilag cruises before .. meeting points are a real eye opener .. hundreds of cars taking off all at once is music to your ears .. granted there are some who spoil the event but they pay the price .. fines, damaged panels etc., etc. but they are fun and can be quite enjoyable to drive in .. unless you have tried them and stuck with a good group, you are just farting in a bottle basically
