What do people think about other makes of jap import cars joining? I have a couple of friends interested. An S15, R32, 93 TT Supra, V35 and a mate that imports cars. He is telling me that it is a a Toyota and it's turbo but he isn't telling me more. The way he put it is that it's just newly approved to be imported to Aus so he doesn't want to say anything as yet, just that I wouldn't have seen one before.... Pulling my leg?? I don't know.. He says it is due to arrive a couple of weeks before the cruise.
Anyway, whats the general feeling? |

I have no issue with this. However, without trying to sound elitist, they would need to be appreciative of the fact that A) We have far superior cars to them and B) it's not a cruise about doing burnouts and racing through the hills etc.
As to venue, I think the original idea of Morialta Park is pretty good. Parking is close to where the BBQ's are and it's close to the hills for those that want to cruise after. |

In other news, had a car park attendant split my front bar as he was reversing it!!! He said "well its too low" (it probably is) I said "But my mrs, sister and even mum has been driving it for the last 6 months no issues at all really." That put him in his place hehehe.
Just hope it's fixed before the meet! |

Haha good point Dan. I have one at home I would bring but it will never fit in my soarer boot. (the first down side that I have come across with the Soarer) - no bbq in boot.
We could go to the Norton Summit hotel if no bbq and want to eat that badly? I think there is 2 bbqs so that should be fine anyway but not sure I'll have to check.
Chris, where is "down here" mate? Might be a good idea. I live West so the bbq is just across town. Drive to or fro the bbq is good for me.
Christian, maybe we should put some guards at our bbq so stop those pesky familys trying to steal it away from us!!!
Any ideas about drive route after anyone for those interested? |

Good place to meet for those who want to Chris.
People from the "Westside" meet at Bunnings Marion or mile end (yet to be decided). People from the east are welcome too if they would like the extra drive but then we all cruise accross town to the BBQ at Morialta on the "eastside" and meet the others who just want to go straight there.
Have the BBQ then cruise somewhere.
We could do a mix of twistys, normal streets and beach? Keeps everyone happy. |

If you like guys i have a HDD cam corder and can easily get the day on film then edit it to a DVD,full 1080 imaging, this stuff i can do, unlike my limited mechanical skills ha ha, |

Anika, don't pull out, we can make this possible.
Peter, that sounds good for a meet, we need to find somewhere either 1. Central to ALL or 2. A couple of spots for people to meet and then a spot for all the groups to join up.
There is never going to be a perfect spot for everyone, but just put in a bit of extra effort so we can make it happen, since these type of events never happen.
