FYI 1st Meetup point is about 1hr 20 mins from the CBD, ie: Just ouside Geelong

Highly recommend to keep to the speed limit on the GOR and on the princess hwy. Vic Pol have ramped up their campaign on speeding and are on a mission to collect their revenue. I know its temping to put the foot down and let off some boost etc but these days you can't fart without getting a defect / EPA notice, and its just exacerbated on cruises!
I was thinking of having a pre-meetup for the Melbourne guys in Williamstown at the workshop, where we can check over our cars, top up with water, air, oils etc as required for the drive. Always good to be safe on such a trip! Would anyone be interested in a Pre-Meetup at around 7:30, depart at 8:30? Geelong is around 1hr 10 mins from the workshop via the freeway so its on the way  |

Yea a meet up for the melb crew would be good, im in southbank so would be easy for me. Im origionally from geelong and spent alot of time down the coast too as thats where alot of my mates are, and yea the cops on the great ocean road have ramped up heaps, but cutting back thru deans marsh is generally really quiet and a little bit of room to play.

Guys haw about the melb guys meet up at the shell(KFC) servo on the melb side of the westgate bridge.
That way you can all fuel up before leaving Melb
and still have enough fuel to get you back home again.
you don't want to be waiting for people to fuel there cars up whilst on the cruise.
Chris Good on ya mate If i was down there i would join ya as well.it is a great day out and the return trip from Apollo bay through Deans Marsh is a ripper.
we actualy did the revs to what chris doing down through Deans marsh to the 12 rocks well 10 or something now days then back up through colac and across towards Melb.
What ever way you go it is a great drive.
Just be patient along the great ocean road and don't do stupid S^^T cause ya will get caught out.Be it Police or a bit of armco also don't forget the cliff face.hahaha

thanks lew yea it should be a good day as long as its not pissing down, i cant wait to get out the back of lorne, i used to take the r6 down there every weekend untill mum and dad found out i had it. feels like nothing else matters when your tearing thru the otways |

ah righto, haha sorry i get ya. Well if you want to meet up with me i live right in the city, next to the eureka building on kavanagh street. and if ken comes too he lives just around the corner. shouldnt take us too long to get to geelong, i normally get to mums house in about 55 min. |

Yeah Im from the western subs so the whole way id be driving alone pretty much. Iv never been on a cruise, if police see heaps of done up cars wont the pull everyone over? im sure not everyones car is legal... |

I remember the last cruise we went to appollo bay, we came back a similar way to which chris suggested. We saw one cop car in a paddock hidden behind a barn - the only way we knew it was there was a car coming in the opposite direction flashed us.
So as long as we're responsible we should be alright. |

I dont think the police will give us too much trouble, the geelong coppers and lorne coppers are pretty good usually as long as your not letting go on every corner or speeding excessively.
Natasha, my numbers up the top, shoot me a txt when your coming around the ring road near sunshine or something and might be able to time it right to catch you around werribee, if not im sure ill be able to catch you as mines a v8, and yours only a tt.......
