Commodores ermm? Pushrod powered rubbish (They can make a decent bit of power though) Hrmm, my mate had a VY SS ute for awhile. Had pacemakers and a full exhaust system. Good fun, but really badly built. Steering rack broke, suspension had to be replaced twice among other things, the interior felt flimsy, and towards the end of his ownership the LS1 was running on what felt like 7 cylinders. He drove it into the ground after 3 years of ownership from brand new, it had 330,000k's. The repo company wouldn't have got much for it, hahaha. When it was working well though, it was indeed quite good fun.

I will admit though, the VE GTS's do haul! Been in one a couple of times, and with some positive displacement, I could almost own one. Build quality is also up compared to the VT/VZ/VY. Another problem with commodores VT - VX. It would seem their gearboxes arn't very strong. My mate was driving to Warnambool when his gearbox died whilst overtaking. And he dosn't drive his car hard either. 2k later and one new gearbox.

I personally dislike Commodores and BMW's equally it seems they both have similar driving style except the BMW's have more money. I know you shouldn't judge a person and in this case a car they drive but whenever I see a BMW/Commodore they always seem to always hoon or try to look "hard".

LOL, thanks Ken..... It was only a joke. I would rather turn up to a Soarer meet on a push bike!!! At the end of the day, its a work car and it costs me nothing and allows me to do work on the soarer with no time constraints.

Yeah I reckon if it just going to the majority of Soarers then I guess a few other cars doesn't really matter. To be honest I don't really care as long as we don't get swamped with skylines, commodores, sunny datsuns, got nothing against these car but i assume you all know what I'm trying to get at Btw I'm thinking of bring down a HD Camcorder with an exterior camera mount be interesting getting a couple of vidoes in.

Rik just chuck on the space savers I'm sure you should be able to borrow one off someone haha, that a shame mate, what tyre size were you after I could have a look in my shed for a couple of good spares you can have. Ken: Yeah, I'm thinking of making a mini clip of our cruise, and I'm guessing the exterior camera mount will produce some sweet shots. Wish I had two mount one on the back of the car and one on the front actually make that four and one of each side fo the car ha-ha Might give it a test run on Friday up near the Thousand steps (Forest Rd, Ferntree Gully)

Natasha: Things you should check in this order: > Battery terminals > If the battery is flat > Unscrew the battery caps and check the water level, (Don't fill to the top, you should see a plastic indicator inside the battery) > Disconnect the battery, locate the alternator and unbolt the two wires that are connected to it check the terminals make sure they are clean. (This can cause poor connection and charge to the battery) > If you like I'd be happy to have a look at it for you tomorrow afternoon (between 1:00-3:00) I doubt it something major I've had this issue before with 4 different reasons causing it. Btw for a 2nd hand starter motor you should be looking at $120 Dan: Don't worry about your bumper, I think you will feel better once you see my rear lip, needs some TLC Murry: Would have been awesome if you could have came, your white V8 is in show room condition looks amazing. Well there is always next time. Bummer Natasha's car (COULD) be out of action, Warren had too much fun in the wet and park the car in a ditch

Jeez, this is no good at all. What's with everyone dropping out? I'll be there on sunday, save for some catastrophic problem with my car that hasn't occurred yet. Haha And yeh don't feel too bad about your bumper Dan, my right rear quarter panel paint - although not very obvious dosn't match perfectly. I went to a smash repair shop on monday to get a quote. Just one other little thing on the list to get done!

Hey richard, the battery is new and all th terminals are on tight... A few, well alot of people said it may be the brushes that are worn. I live in melton... i might just take it to an auto electrician, since i am assuming itl be somehting bigger that i hope. Thanks heaps. 60% chance heyyy haha

I've got spare brushes which you can have for nothing their just sitting in my old alternator, they have been used slightly which will take 45-60 min to pop in. It's up to you give us a yell if you need a hand I think my number is floating around here somewhere.
