hi guys

im a bit of a newcomer to the forums but i was just wondering besides the eastern creek track night on Wednesdays in the past few weeks, you guys been out for a cruise together or anything and if so is there anything planned coming up?

I was going to try to organise another one in the new year for around late-February/early-March - when the weather cools down a bit. I was also thinking that we do the Bells Line of Road route this time around, coming back towards Sydney via the GWH.

But as far as I know, nothing is definately planned at this stage.

how bout the new bridge thats opening soon towards wollongong, looks like some good scenic roads there around the mountains?

Been ages since ive been on a cruise so be keen for a drive

I reckon that bit of road is going to see a whole heap of cruises in the first month of opening!

maybe try something within sydney having lunch somewere having a run on the new m7 etc..im not too thrilled with cruises far out of metro sydney.

i just want a sensible cruise no speeding etc..

How about a show & shine day (concourse d'elegance) One was organised a few years back as an all Toyota day at Parramatta Park. A dealer (Gary Blogg) brought along a UZZ31 and there was a couple of early Soarers as well.
Trophies could be awarded for best presented series. For example best Twin Turbo, best V8, best early series and best modified.
Any comments?

Hey Muz, all the best roads are out of town!

Or we could piss away $20 on tolls and do a lap of the city: M4 Eastern Creek, M7, M5, M5 East, Sydney Tunnel, Gore Hill Expr / Epping Rd, M2, M7, M4 Finish.

Or just an engine fire that turned nasty. If it was vandals or theives, why would they open the bonnet?

More likely the owner jumped out popped the bonnet to investigate, and then all hell started breaking loose!

I've seen an MPEG of a guy in a riced up Civic in the States and he pulled over to check out some smoke coming up from the firewall - within a few minutes the whole car was ablaze like that shot above. Apparently the kid had hooked up a new stereo and ran an unfused power from the battery through the firewall which then rubbed through the insulation... you'd be gutted.
