Not sure, but based on 20 cars, 15mins per car, around 5 hrs or so. I've prospected the next dyno day venue in the south east at a reputable location. I may make this a Toyota Dyno Day or Jap imports dyno day depending on the numbers.

Hey Costa Getting excited. Might bring my son. He's 9. Is that ok? Will come complete with ear muffs. Is there a stove or hotplate there. Might bring the coffee machine as well. Nothing like a large dose of caffeeene to go with the sound of screaming engines.

Hi Jack, Yup your son can come, but please brief him on the safety aspects of the workshop. There is also quite a large workshop dog that roams around. The German Shepherd can look intimidating, but is quite friendly and street smart around cars and people. I also recommend that if anyone has sensitive hearing, to bring their own hear muffs or plug their ears when some of the high powered cars come on the dyno as they are pretty loud lol.

Was a fantastic day, well organised- thanks to Costa and Sam for the day. Great catching up with people and seeing some different power figures my v8 made 165rwkw with just the extractors, exhaust and bfi. No complaints there

Hey Guys, Good turnout today. Thanks to those that made it. Total of 11 cars on the dyno. I had a great time catching up with you all! Sorry I couldn't chat for longer - had to assist with the dyno operations to keep up the flow of cars before the weather broke (as it seems!). Special thanks to Warren for giving me a hand by driving one of my Supras/Soarer's to the event. Looking forward to finishing your car off and getting 250+rwkw out of a stock twin setup in true twin turbo mode. Hope you guys enjoyed the Free BBQ at the end for those that stuck around! Here's some of the power figures that I remember off the top of my head: 1. Nick - 205rwkw on Twin GT28 Highflows in CT12a Housings, stock auto, computer, etc - Great result. 2. JZX100 Chaser - 165rwkw, VVTI 1JZ Boosted to 16psi 3. JZX110 Chaser - 145 rwkw? VVTI 1JZ stock 4. JZZ30 Soarer - 119rwkw VVTI 1JZ stock but possible blocked cat/collapsed muffler 5. UZZ30 Soarer V8 w/ Extractors and full system, BFI etc - 165rwkw 6. UZZ30 Soarer V8 Stock Standard 96 model - 145rwkw 7. Celsior - 137rwkw stock standard 8. Sami JZZ30 Trust T67 kit? Small Single Turbo - 268rwkw with some spectacular smoke and flame displays hehe 9. My Soarer, T51R SPL 20psi Manual - 367 rwkw with some issues that will get fixed soon 10. My Supra, T04Z 10psi Automatic - 245rwkw should make 380rwkw on 22psi That's all I can remember for now lol.

I had a great time and was so happy with my result. Was good to finally meet some of you and see your cars in the flesh. I would have stayed for the BBQ but wanted to get home before the weather changed. Now I gotta save some money so i can improve on that number for the next one.

I told Nick he would hit 200, but he didn't believe me. Also, I somehow actually managed 279rwkw with all the drama. And Costa, I wan't to do what we have been discussing, so please let me know how soon you can make it happen.

Ive got a bfi, exhaust, front mount and the twin gt28's in the ct12a housings running 12psi. Really needs a tune though as it was running really rich. Unfortunately I need to build the transmission before I go for more power.

Yea, I've done a few tweaks to mine since I last had it on the dyno and then it was 159rwkw so I'd like to know what it is now. Another on the SE Suburbs would be great as I'd make that one. Problem I'm having atm is when it changes gears I blow flames out the exhaust. When thats fixed it should be better maybe?

165rwkw for a 4.0L N/A is decent. Extractors and BFI I'm guessing? I got 180rwkw on another dyno running 4.5psi without extractors or bfi.

Sami, for your setup, upgraded T67 fitted to your factory manifold, 3.5" dump pipe or 4" if we can fit it, highflow cat, retune and you should be making 330rwkw easy. Your ignition timing needs a lot of work. You could get over 300rwkw with the current setup with an exhaust dump made, leaks fixed and retuning the ignition timing. Mixtures are spot on at 12:1 but the ignition timing is not enough to a lot of fuel is getting pumped out and not burnt mid-top end. How is that a problem? Cool. (I'd say at a guess it is running a little rich, and you have a very 'straight through' exhaust system?)

Hey Guys and Gal What an interesting and entertaining session that was. Thanks to Sam and Costa for setting it all up. Pity I could not stay for the BBQ It was marvellous to find out that my totally stock 96 V8 was making all it should. Was thinking of selling the car as it's not that practical at the moment but a dyno session was a new one for me and has sparked a bit more interest. Have to correct you tho Costa, sheet says 142.8 rwkw. I'm taking your advice Sam and renewing the air filter and I'll do a BFI as well. Thanks again Fellas.

No worries, There's a few tutorials on the BFI mods on these forums and planet soarer. Easy 5rwkw to be gained. Simply cut a huge hole in he front of the airbox and run a new toyota paper filter (do not run an oiled filter as it will ruin the AFM on the V8), some partitioning / cold air induction and it will sound and breath a lot better to give you that extra power. My dyno figures were strictly from memory so the last figure may be off lol. I've got a few more events that I'm thinking about which are as follows in no particular order. - Guided Factory Tour of the Toyota Altona Plant, maximum 20 people and it is a half day event on a Tuesday/Thursday during the workday. Basically its like Megafactories on Steroids - live right in front of you! - Cruise to some location for a BBQ/Picnic/Lunch - I may make a huge cruise for charity to help with the Japanese natural disaster. It would be uber cool to get a bunch of Jap imports on the street cruising in formation - Skid Pan / Driver Day at Sandown - Paint Ball Session at an outdoor/indoor facility in Melbourne - Shotgun Clay Target Shooting Competition at Frankston - I did this for my bucks and it was a great success - Another Dyno Day - Spanner Day at the workshop That's all I can think of atm. If you have any ideas, post them up!
