Hey Guys,
To follow on from the last thread, I have arranged in conjunction with the Commodore Car Club WA our own lane at Quit Motorplex on the 26th of October.
Details are as follows
Date: WED 26th Oct 2011
Time: Gates open @ 5 p.m, First Race @ 6 p.m
Price: $50 to race, $15 - $20 to spectate
Equipment Req:Andra compliant Helmet(as/nzs:1698), Long pants, Long sleeves, Closed in shoes, Pen, and of course a valid Drivers licence. 
This should be a lot of fun and it'll be good to see a few Soarers down there and the times they run. (Even better if we can show up some HSV's!!!)
Numbers are fairly limited at this stage, As the less we have there the more times we can race. 
So if you are keen add your name to the list!

I have just had my exhaust finished and I'm replacing some IC joiners and clamps at the moment I suspect leak a little.
Hopefully I can get enough cash in the next few weeks to grab some bigger injectors and fuel pump
Then I just need to get my Emanage retuned to suit!

well my motor developed some strange head noise on saturday.. so im a maybe..

only possible problem is it gets full - depends on the night but it might fill up before that time, which would suck if you get there and can't run ... |

Yeah why not, I think I will be down there during the day anyway testing the drag bike so might as well stay for the night Been a while since I've had the Soarer on the track. An it's hard to resist an invite to show up some Commodores!

New list, This is the maximum amount of people we can have so please be at least some what confident you can make it so others don't miss out!
Cheech from CCCWA has stressed to me as well to make sure you all have the right helmet with the AS/NZ:1698 standard as the scrutineering tent will send you away if you don't have it! I have two complied helmets and may be able to get my hands on a third if people need them. Also don't forget the other requirements posted above.

Ok guys only a couple of days to go
I have never entered my car to race and I think a couple of you guys are the same so I have a basic instruction list from Cheech and made a Map
1. Enter the race gate and say "I'm racing tonight", pay the money and keep entry form given to you. (Make sure you have a Pen in your car to fill it out )
2. To head over to the scrutineering shed drive forward through the gates, take the first left, follow the road down and then turn left at the end of the street. There should be a line to join with the other cars waiting to be scrutineered.
3. Once there pop your bonnet, have your helmet and long sleeve ready to be inspected and fill in racing form (both back and front) while waiting.
(You will need your drivers licence for this.)
4. When you've progressed to the start of the queue hand the form to the scruitineer when its your turn and he'll inspect your car.
(tell them before he writes on your car that your with the "commodore car club lane" (should be lane 7, I will confirm once we ring the Motorplex today. )
5. If your car passes the inspector will write on your form and tell you to park up and get your wrist band. Drive through the shed and park on the grass.
Take your drivers licence and the form with you to the shed and go to the table giving out the wristbands and hand over your licence and form.
6. Drive to this location on the map and wait with the other cars. unless its after 6pm then drive through to staging lane 7.

And what about times? Ie so a 12 sec soarer doesnt waste time on a 15sec commodore vice versa? |

If you know what times you have run in the past let Cheech (I will introduce you all to him, He drives a bright yellow GTO if you see him before me) or I know and we will pair you up with someone similar. |

Sorry I missed this.
You can have a passenger but they need the helmet/long sleeve and long pants/drivers license and your car can't run quicker than 11.99 secs.
I think they pay $40 too.

hey Richard is it cool that we can race any car other than the ones in the commonwhores club? cause I wouldn't mind racing other imports or race against each other if we have time
hopefully it doesn't rain on wednesday night like they have forecast and stays clear for us to race!!! |

Umm I am not sure David hey :/
I would say probably not as we will be staged up in a private lane. I think there maybe a random Skyrine running in our lane though so you could probably get a race in with him in worse case scenario
Today's weather is shocking though, I can't remember whether they cancel if it's raining the day before but I will find out what the go is today.

Passengers are spectator entry fee ($17) + $15 so $32 all up. They can also drive the car if you want.
Need all the same safety gear ie long sleeves, closed in shoes and helmet.
They will make a decision on racing tomorrow at some stage, but doesn't look great at the moment
