Not sure who would be interested, most people know i love watching the drifting, and saw that BDA1 (Barbagello Drift Assault 1) is on the long weekend of Sept 30th/Oct 1st. Would anyone be keen to cruise before hand and convoy there? Watch some skids then cruise home after? Its a two day even so we could do either day. Sunday is day and night drifting, and Monday is just day.
Now it is a long weekend so double demerits will apply, and this usually scares a few people off, but im just testing the waters. If people are keen, i'll make up a map and plan it out a bit more. I have attached a word doc with some info pulled from the DriftWA Forums with a schedule and whatnot. Last time there was drifting happening had a convoy of 3 cars, would be good to have more. But post up if your keen!

Yeah Sunday will be a good day. Ill be going both days, so like i said, happy to sort something for either day pending interest.
They do run the competition at Barbs, but not very often, and the practice is still good to watch. They run in pairs in groups of 8 i think but they still compete against each other. The trainee's are out the back on the practice course. Its mainly nissan orientated but you do get the odd JZA70 or chaser etc. Plus once you get that smell of smoked rubber, you will love it.
Im gonna be going both days but I came up with a idea for a map, a coastal cruise. Maybe stop at a few places along the way, but i dont know where good car parks are, and being a long weekend, it will be pretty full everywhere. The map i made is only like 70 kms but we would wanna get there early. As it starts at 9 am. BUT if people wanna start later, i.e arvo ish then we could cruise before and maybe revisit Jokers for Pizza or somewhere for food after? Those Pizzas were amazing!
If people wanna do two cruises i can sort a different map for the second day pending interest, or just run the one map.
As i dont live up this way feedback would be appreciated.

So drifting is on this weekend, weather is meant to be pretty good. Havnt had any feedback on the map i posted above so those that are coming i guess we can kinda wing it from there, maybe stop somewhere along the way. Who is still keen? And what day suits everybody? Its running on Sunday all day and night and Monday day?

Sweet, so it seems Sunday is the better day for people. Was reading there will be a good few 500hp+ toyotas there, including a JZA80, JZX81 (1jz ) and an IS200. Drifting starts at 9am and runs until 8pm. So we can run any time and just cruise there. We normally meet around 10 so hows that sound?
For those that cant make Sunday, send me a PM if your keen and ill meet up with you on Monday. Drifting runs from 9-5.

There is a map a few posts above. Start at the carpark on riverside drive, causeway end. Then quick tunnel run and out to the coast. Cruise up and along and out to Barbs. Should get there about 11-1130 i guess, go for a wander, get something to eat. Ill bring a few copies of the itinerary with me along with the map.
Not sure if there is anywhere good to stop along the way there?

Hey Dave, Im heading up from Bunbury about 8, so was planning on getting there about 10 and leave at 1030ish, otherwise people can meet us along the way. Bummer Peter, was reading on facebook about your problems, hope its all fixed soon. Bring whoever you want, Adrian mentioned he has a couple of mates coming in Subaru's so if you have any friends that are interested bring them along.
Not sure if people would be interested but October 27/28th is th ADGP. Australian Drift Gran Prix. This is when the real pros come out to play. A lot of interstate drivers come over. Ill be up again, if your keen to come either day let me know.
