Looking at getting an idea of the interest level for a club track day in Feb next year. Most likely at Winton race way. We will have the whole track to ourselves. Will be circuit only. No drifting or burnouts. Will be about $280 for the day. Probably will be a week day but with plenty of notice to take annual leave. If we get enough interested parties we can get the ball rolling. Put your name down if interested. |

Hey Scott, put me down as interested. I'll have my soarer well and truly sorted by then.
Is it soarer only or can we take other cars?
My brother might be interested to as he's busy making the eureka track worthy. |

Yeah for sure he's a good bloke. Don't want any heroes or clowns out on the track. This will not be like a Winton fun day. Will be limited cars on the track at once. Will be a great day. Preference to Soarer people and go from there.
One of my mates is coming as well so that's 4 of us so far. |

Sounds good. My biggest fear with a track day is someone exceeding their abilities and cleaning me up. I'm all for limited cars, preferably spaced out. Easy enough to see who's quicker with lap times  |

Yeah exactly Ross. Done quite a few track days the Winton fun day had quite a few commodore dickheads. Trying to go side ways to overtake and getting close. Most of the time I've been with good people and had a great time. When you have a serious event and are a little more picky those people who cause trouble get filtered out.
For me it was about learning more about me and my car then trying to prove anything to anyone else. I hope you guys have a similar attitude. |

Sure will be! With the V160, the ratios will be quite short with the A02B diff.
I'll be keen to test it all out and see how it goes, so a little track day would be perfect. |

If it was a bit later in the year I would consider coming down. I am out of the car until about March with shoulder rehab. I plan on a gentle session first time back as the driver will be a bit rusty. And weak.

Hahahah! I am just out of a sling nearly seven weeks post shoulder surgery. Good luck with it. I am still very achy and sore. I am still not driving a road car as I cant lift my right arm up to steering wheel height yet. Banned from race car until about March some time. This will obviously get reviewed based on my rehab progress, but that is the expectation.
I don't even know how long I would need to tow to Winton from Canberra. Maybe a day? |

I'll organize a group for us at Calder but we will be sharing the track. Mostly its with good dudes. Won't be too many at once. Just didn't get enough interest for our own event. We will still get a good price and will be a great day with other Soarers. Will update but will be around March or April. |
