The weather reports for the weekend are looking good, so let's start to lock things in.
Perhaps if we can make a list of people expected and what jobs they would like to achieve. Then we can have a better idea of what parts and tools will be needed on the day. It can be any job within reason, or just come along to lend a hand or give moral support.
Peter Scott will also be along with some sample work and swatches for leather retrims to steering wheels, hand brake and gear selector handles.
Does anyone have a portable BBQ that isn't too small?
3. Tamatha Chapman - Clean Dash, Brakes (if I don't get done before hand), delimit cruise control?
Also, does anyone know if you can reset your computer by disconnecting the battery over long periods of time? And would this have anything to do with AFR? Am now running rich.
Could you let me know what I would need to bring. I know I have 2-3 things written down, am happy to get one done (but will need someone to show and advise).

Disconnecting the battery does reset the ECU. This tends to affect TT's more than V8's and they usually run a bit rich and rough, but usually a bit of a flogging teaches them to behave
My experience is to drive the car a bit to have it at running temperature, pull the ECU fuse ( http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/10/21.html?1098228107 ) or disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then do a few hard starts even just from 0-60kph.

As to what to bring, depends on the job. A socket set would be handy, especially a small one, ie 1/4inch drive as the C/C bolts are a tad pesky to get at and probably won't be able to get at them with my 1/2inch drive set.
With the brakes, depends what you want to do. I have pretty much all the tools needed here, so bring brake fluid if you want to flush them, pads if you want to change them etc. Only need a couple of sockets and spanners, read the Brake tutorials http://soarer.ace.net.au/brakes.html to see what is required.
If people can bring their own tools, then we don't have to fight over my tool set.

Peter,
Would you mind if I bring the cars history on Sat for you to look at? That's if you don't mind. Most people I know tell me to sell her and get a real car, so I don't get much help.

Tamatha, bring whatever you like. not that I will guarantee to be much help with it, but at least I won't be rude about it hehehe..
Thank You for the referrals to the info I was after. Spent many hours over the weekend searching for it.
Am not generally a B****h, but sometimes I do feel like stirring up things. No malice intended, just find that if you rattle peoples cages you get a better chance of seeing what they are about.
But will go on record to say that I have noticed that there are a few people in this forum that do offer genuine and "friendly" advice, yourself being one.
So much appreciation to people who offer their knowledge (or experiences) on these sites.

Tamatha, pretty much all of the people here have something to offer. The problem is that the written word can be misconstrued as there are no other clues to provide insight into whether the poster is being cheeky or just plain rude. So sometimes things go astray
Just pretend that we all suffer from PMS at times, and make allowances and life gets better

I did the blue led mod thing, but two of them blew!?! So would mind doing that again. Blue dash conversion within reason? I'll come along as long as no one gives me grief over my car this time I know it looks like a piece of $hit atm, with all the door trims, rear 1/4s and back seat removed, but believe me, there is a method behind my madness

BTW, I can solder. Just don't look at my work on the climate control screen, I was half pissed when I did that. Forgive me, I knew not what I did! Actually done some surface mount work on motherboards before if that's a better indication on what I can do?

I can also bring my BBQ. It's a decent size but I'm pretty sure it will fit in the boot.
