I'm not gunna make it Saturday.
Unfortunately my car had a fight with a kerb and popped two of my tyres, no other damage though only to my ego.

I wasn't even doing anything stupid (for a change), just coming off a round-a-bout not concentrating and BANG.

I would hate to think what damage it would have incurred going a bit faster. Anyway I now have four brand new tyres on (no point replacing two) so something good come out of it, just burnt a hole through my pocket.

Anyway have fun and let me know how it goes, we'll need to do it again for those of us who missed out.

By the way I got my blue dash kit today from Import Scene, did everyone else's?

Oi! Luke! We were counting on you for the superb soldering. :-(

If your car is back on the road, then why not come anyway? :-)

Tamatha, as I suspect some other people will also have stuff for themselves, I would think you have enough there to feed us well :-)

Ben has offered to cook too :-)

Hopefully it won't be windy and I can setup a small gazebo for a bit of shade. Concrete car park, so I can't drive pegs into the ground to tie it down.

Shame about the car, at least you are OK. Your not the only one to go 'off road', bet we all have at one time or another.

May I suggest that even if Luke doesn't have transport to attend, someone might offer a lift? Especially as it sounds like his 'skills' would be greatly appreciated on the day.

Whereabouts do you live Luke? I might be able to swing past and pick you up depending on location?

Food sounds really good as well Tamatha! Far out, you'll have enough to feed us for a week!

I dunno how you come to the idea that I have "superb soldering skills", coz really I SUCK, i wouldn't soder on my own car let alone someone else's.
The car is on the road and after the new tyres and a wheel alignment it's driving better than ever.
I might still make it coz I have the blue dash kit, but I have alot of work to catch up on now that I had to take a sickie today.

Suggestion, every one bring a clean old rag for wiping your mitts on. I have handwash here though. Nothing like avoiding getting some grunge on your seats etc.

Thanks for the input on parts Pen.
But, due to me being sick, I now have a Doc appointment to go to and will not be able to make it to your shop until after 1pm.

I will still make an appearance, to try and attempt my BFI or at least look how someone elses is done, and do mine the following weekend.

Also, the service, if you are not too busy at a later stage sometime, if you could be so kind as to give me a hand with the plugs and leads. Im a rookie here, and I know you have done these before.

Thanks Pen

See you all tomorrow.
