I certainly hope so!!! The weather will be great, I dug out plates and cups and will be bringing a small gazebo, Tamatha has bought some food stuff and hopefully one or two BBQ devices will be coming along. And Ben has offered to play cook.
If that isn't enough for a BBQ, then it's a hard life indeed!

Was at your shop 10:30am and again at 11:20am this morning Peter with the tools I mentioned you could borrow. No-one there.....door locked... Don't think I can make it tomorrow,

Kris looks to be out
Car is running really badly, unburnt fuel in the exhaust, sounds a bit like the cam belt has jumped as discussed in a recent thread, but could be anything. It appears to be sparking OK.

If your pulling dashes out to clean etc, have a good read of the tutorial on Planetsoarer.... hide your keys and your going to need an extension for your ratchet to loosen the bolts holding the steering column.

Huge turnout, hopefully others will post pics later (or send them to me).
Lots of jobs done, food cooked and eaten (still half a fridge full left)
Just finished packing it all away, it was a very worthwhile event for all that turned up. Everyone learnt something and we all helped each other out where we could. Team Soarer!

Wanted to say HUGE thank you to Peter Nitschke for hosting today.. Also for the ride. Will be having WORDS about my exhaust, am SOOO JEALOUS of the sound of yours.
Also big thanks to Peter Scott for his advice and bringing along the samples of leather work for everyone to see. Excellent quality and the stitching was beautiful.
I know I didn't actually DO anything, BUT was able to wonder around and check out what others have done and get ideas. Am glad I saw what was involved with the BFI and if Brentons' grin is anything to go by, is definitely worth looking into in the near future.
I think Luke is certainly willing to tackle any job with his crawl board and tool set. Bonus talent of cooking a wicked BBQ (and salad). I thought he was trading cooking for his dash work?, did he get it done? Need to keep the chef happy for future events, especially as I was trying to get him to utilise his other talent with the camera. Hoping he would be interested in doing beach/sunset photo shoot of the cars. Would be something I would part with cash for after seeing what he can do. How about others?
I think it was Kris who gave me a hint on how to get the screen working again. That is DEFINITELY on the hit list to get done asap. Will let you know if it works.
Unfortunately will have to wait to get the G*D D**N, piece of S**T door handle fixed that broke today until next weekend (hopefully). Should never have said anything about it and I MIGHT have been fine. GT Autosound to the rescue, AGAIN. Will take photo's when it gets done and forward to Peter N if it's the clip that I suspect.
Overall it was BRILLIANT to meet you all (worth the bad sunburnt face and arms). Excellent way to get a group of soarers/lexus enthusiast together.
Like I said above. If Luke is interested in doing photo shoots whilst the weather is still warm, would be interested (time allowing).

Yes, it was I who was the master chef extrordinaire!!! Didn't get my dash done, Peter and i did find the cause of the knocking in my car though, the diff
Left my salad bowl at your shop Peter, mum nearly killed me last night (have a bad habit of leaving bowls at mates places). When are you usually at the shop, I'll have to come down and collect?

Be nice to do a soarer photo day sometime maybe. Early april perhaps? I'm going to be fair busy over the next few weekends, putting a fair bit of effort into actually registering the business. So once that and the clipsal are out of the way, I'll be at your service.

Sorry I go names wrong. Yes, it was late and when your lucky to get 5-6 hours sleep a night your brain does start to malfunction. As for the time, my mum isn't well at the moment and once again was rushed to hospital at Burnside. So it was another restless night. At least I got my sunburn checked for free - not much going on at that time of night. Found out one of the nurses has a friend with a soarer and didn't think he knew about this site. Have advised them to check it out - Very handy.
Add to the above 'issues' at the moment two cars playing tag at who can get more money spent on them it's a juggling game. Not only do I have to now get the drivers door handle fixed on the soarer, but I only just had the steering rack, pump, brake pads replaced as well as the discs machined in the commodore and now the master cylinder has a 'switch' leaking. It is actually funny when your doing a mad dash and trying not to speed (at least not too much) and your brakes aren't what they should be. Add to that I was chasing a high booster bike and we both jumped out of our skins when a cop came out of a side street ahead - definitely a way to keep you awake in the wee hours.

Thanks again Peter for hosting mate. Was nice to meet a few more people and just pull apart stuff!!! And big thanks to Traff and Tom for the help with the BFI.

Does anyone know where my corflute side panel for the BFI ended up?
Yeah sorry Peter. I've got it here. Was tucked inside my corflute pile. Are you going to be at your shop today?

Big thanks to Pete for letting us use his shop and even bigger thanks to Clayton, you absolute f**ken legend for single-handedly replacing all the LEDs in my air-con display unit! Looks sweet mate, will try and take some pics tonight and post them up. How's the BFI?
Also was great to meet everyone and get to know some of the other Soarer owners in Adelaide, really great turn out of some really nice cars!

Ben, salad bowl is safe and washed.
Clayton, I will be in and out, have some other stuff to do today, though you could just sit it at the beck door inside the screen door if you are coming past Any chance of getting a piece of that black corflute from you?
