Thanks for your post Lew !!! Thank you. This morning Dion from Dyno-Mite contacted me in regards to the trophies..... He said "We need to fix up the trophies,...... as i was thinking after the event that 1st place was awarded to most powerful n/a V8 not most powerful n/a Soarer V8" As we went on to discuss that next time we will set down classes for all cars and then have a top 3 in each class. We as a club can sort this out on the forum before the day. I personally would like to thank Dion and Thain for their efforts having to work in the heat with no breaks....I'm sure that we can all understand that a simple mistake after 6 hours work is easy done on a very hot saturday afternoon. After all that is finished we need to swap a few trophies over. 1st Juzza 143 rw/kw 2nd Avin 142.6 rw/kw 3rd Rob Hayden 137.2 rw/kw (Celsior) or 4th Adam (Stock 32) 128.1 rw/kw being a soarer? If u would all like to email me at: dumpydave@hotmail.com we can get a new top 3 photo and sort out the swap of the trophies at the same time if you all like. LEW: My car has my own dumps which i don't make anymore on it HAHAHAHAHHAHA

Next time dont have trophys if all ya are gonna do is whinge and whine about the effort put in by a few to make a fun day out for all. Sorry I couldn't make it, I woulda blown ya all away... (If they had corners on a dyno) Maybe say thanks to those who set up the day for everyone and don't let politics into this club, I like it better without. IMHO. P.S. Well said, Lew and Peter.

Dion at Dyno-Mite sorted the classes and decided where the trophies would be awarded which was very good of him to do. Unfortunately, he's used to turbo cars (VL's and the like) being in direct competition with blown big block V8's with 671 GM blowers producing huge horsepower. Not understanding that no blown V8 Soarer could ever compete with a TT with basic mods, he naturally (for his way of thinking) stuck the Blown 8's into the Forced Induction class, hence no awards for them, beaten by the most basic TT's. Had he been aware of the limited gains in blowing a V8 Soarer, he would have just done a TT / V8 class. Probably would have been better but it's too late now. I'm with Lew. Next time TT / V8. Two classes. You want to spend 10 grand and blow your V8 and add some trinkets, and if that puts you at the top of the tree in the V8 class on the day, then so be it. Well done Reepa for your TT class win on the day, and thanks to Dumpy Dave for setting it all up. Don't let this little frackar piss you off Dave, we all appreciated your efforts to set it up. There isn't any real need to get the Ford blokes Trophy back as nothing has been decided here. There appears to be two scenarios: Option 1. All V8's. 1st. Hayden Blown 32 168.1 2nd. Ryrie. Blown 32. 155 3rd. Juzza. NA 31. 147 Option 2. NA V8's. 1st. Juzza 2nd. Avin 3rd. Hayden (Celsior) Now you guys settle the classes and give the acknowledgement to whoever deserves it. Either way I don't care, and if no trophy finds it's way onto my shelf, then that doesn't stress me either. Just something else for Suzie to clean the dust off.

I reckon we chuck in and get You and Phil 1st and 2nd Trophy's for FI V8. That way, Adam gets one too for 3rd placed Soarer NA V8. (next time we'll define the class AND car thing first) Then everybody's happy

Ahh Takes me back to the belts off Barry beating days. When no dyno was complete with a disagreement about classes, even some wanting to separate the manual TT's from the auto's. I would like to see three classes. 1JZ's , 2JZ's ( if any present) & V8's. So that would include a torana with a 1JZ or a Celsior with twin turbos on a 1UZ. We all gain from dyno days in the knowledge that is gained and comparing those cars that claim to have xxx rwkw to what they really do when they have to back up there claims.

RIGHTO - Looks like it's OPTION 2 !!! Sorry Adam, you'll have start fitting out that '32 with some go fast action !!!!! Throw a MiNes in it - that'll even things up wont it Rob Hayden is just as stubborn as I am and I aint giving up 1st place for no-one. Forced Induction or Not !!! - So just this once I'm gonna be a quint about it. This is my last event with this Soarer and I wanna finish on Top - OK ? For now ... Phil and Rob can just enjoy the fact that they have the biggest bestest V8's in VIC, and next time it'll be V8's vs Turbo's and that'll be that.

| I dunno whether any of ewes are interested OR not, but I have a Gyno (C**t of a job), or dyno just down the road from me, (As in 7 minutes drive), and I personally couldn't care less what our Soarer is producing at the wheels...........It could be producing Kitten's for all I care..............as some (above) have attested, it's all about friendship, mateship, and meeting new people!. Granted, you may not like some of the people you meet through the club, but FFS.....ENJOY the day for what it IS. A gathering of like minded individuals (We ALL own Soarers), and IF, and I mean IF, ya car happens to have the biggest output on the day.........Brilliant!. If NOT, does it really matter.........(The correct answer is: NO!). You have probably met some of the finest people that are worth knowing, due to ONE thing..........a car called SOARER!. Here endeth the lesson (Plicks!)
