I think this is a brilliant idea to promote not all car enthusiasts are idiots AND support a worthwhile charity.

expecting 200+ cars minimum, and this time we will be inviting all the clubs of SA to join in...
Toyota Car Club, PSi, EVO/GSR, SupraSA, WRXSA, SArotary, CruisingSA, etc.
The format will be a nice relaxing social day with a sunday drive through the hills, and then stopping in Mount Barker for a show and shine style event for a couple of hours with BBQ lunch - after that there will be a choice of taking the freeway back, or a second route through some more twisty roads.
Pricing at the moment is expected to be $5 for a map, which will include a raffle ticket. Extra sausages and raffle tickets can be purchased on the day for $2.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE GOING TOWARDS THE YOUTH SUICIDE AWARENESS CHARITY.
We are currently chasing some of the top workshops and stores from around adelaide and like the last mega cruise we will be pulling together some crazy prizes to be won.
As with all megacruises planned through this website, hoon activity will NOT be tolerated.
Any burnouts, drift, dangerous driving, or generally stupid behavior will immediately result in your plate numbers being handed to authorities. We have never had a problem with this in the past, so lets keep up the good attitude!
Police WILL be notified and present throughout the day, and we plan to have media present so lets set the example!
People worried about defects : Obviously nothing is guarenteed, but we have not had a problem with this at any of the megacruises prior, since it is a well planned large scale event that we have discussed with the authorities prior to, they are not out to "GET US" - i am hoping if anything they can help escort us out of the traffic through the city!.

Hey is anyone else from Adelaide going to this??
Or will I be the only one from SC going??
I have already spoken to a few other people from a variety of clubs, and we will all be attending. Cars include, rotars, WRX's, possible old school XA GT.

Starts at 12 noon. Cruise starts 1pm sharp going up to Mt Barker. Stopping up there for BBQ and rumoured to have a show 'n' shine type set up. Also rumoured to have Ignition DVD, Today tonight, channel 2, channel 9 etc etc covering this event.
Would be good not only to support Nissan Silvia club in raising funds for 'awareness for youth suicide' (especially due to their recent loss), but also to show not all owners of imports/mod cars are idiots.
Even though Goldy not looking her best I will be attending to show my support for this very worthy cause.

Left digital at home aaaaarrrrrggghhh
Brother took his so will snag a few pics when I catch up with him.
Over 200 cars turned up. Excellent cruise up to Mt Barker (was advertised on Channel 7 news last night). All arrived safe and sound. Those of us who did attend from SC tried to stay together on the way up (bit difficult with so many cars).
Wayne and Dave came with their TT's and Clayton brought out his Black V8. Thanks for making the effort guys.
What can I say, magnificent cruise up. Should have taken 45 min, but I think it took us some 2 hours. All fun.
Most everyone cruised along, and the Girl Scouts put on a snag sizzle on arrival.
Due to funds raised, rumour is will be repeated for different charities throughout the year. Will make sure I give more notice for future events.
Big thank you to Loz from nissansilva.com for the invite. Great cruise, good food - sweet rides.

Some pics from the day. Cannot see any of the soarers. One pic of my brothers green coupe with boot/bonnet up - you squint and see to the right the smallest part of my bumper. Will keep searching for pics. Will get the ones of my brothers camera tonight. Otherwise I had an old camera I keep in the car. Will get film developed and scan onto forum.

You can run but you can't hide.
No probs, got heaps of shots of Goldy, will just ask Ben S to cut and paste yours out and mine in...he he.
What happened to you lot anyway? I had time to crash a 50 B'day and STILL beat you to the oval......Hope you all enjoyed. Was good to meet some more members of SC. Next event in summer - let's get more SC out there.
In saying that, maybe next item of events should be a huge grovel up to Ben S for a Soarer day photo shoot?? (now everyone can nag Ben S...)
