While I think of it, is there a collection of cars out the back of the Sunny Coast???? From memory it's a private collection and they only open it to car clubs. It might be an interesting stop on the cruise.
I'm sure I've heard of something out that way, just can't think of the name right now. Maybe someone else knows of it...

hahah !
yeh Tim, she bought some serious blinged out chrome rims thats fo sho. Must be a girl thing ??
Nathan - Reason for starting a new thread once we have interest is so when other people come to check out what is goin on in QLD Events section, they dont have to go through 5 different archived bits to find out the details. So once the interest is there/here, a new post with ALL the info should be put up, it just makes things alot easier.

Ok, I've found that the car collection is in Buderum, called the Bowden collection. It has an AC Cobra and I think a GT40 in it, both genuine articles, as well as a lot of local race cars (holden/ford). I've emailed them but no response yet. If there's any interest in a visit then I'll pester them some more.

Yeam im keen for a cruise to the sunny coast, i live there so makes it cheap for me with petrol the way it is these days lol As for a destination for lunch, there heaps of places we could go to, depends on what type of meal/location you are after. Ill post some possibilities later, amazing race is on!!

I have gotten a response back from the Big Barrel Winery, they are in Maleny. They can do lunch for us for about $12-$16 per head. I am waiting to hear back from them about what sort of lunches they do. Sounds pretty good though. They also do wine tasting for $2 for anyone that wants to do that.

Im on the sunny coast too... are we looking at a park bbq or restaurant for lunch? either way there are heaps of places... Im just trying to think of one with a nice big car park that also won't draw to much attention, so we can do our own thing without upsetting anyone.
Maleny is a great choice Mel, its always a great drive up through the hills. If we wanted to go for a BBQ I was thinking "Mary Cain-Cross Park" (i think thats what its called) in Maleny. Whilst i havent been there for years from what i can remeber its a huge park / nature reserve up in the mountains it has bbq's and also a cafe. im pretty sue it has a playground if any one is bringing their kids along? Either way it should be a great day!

The last Maleny one we did was cool. Great views from up there.
I will see which park Paul took us too, they had all that, may have been that one. I will do a check to see though. Maybe we can take some sausages up and cook our own lunch.

yeah i remember the last cruise we did up there. 28th Nov last year i think . or possibly the year . just after my b'day. was alright . i rekon instead of the mountains we should choose beach, not as much up hill driving using heaps of petrol. nice car park near the beach at mooloolaba or noosa, point cartwright maybe even, take some snags on a bbq. cheap as chips mate.

Yeah the beach is a good idea Nathan, can you find us a spot that we all park together and keep an eye on the cars??. We will get a couple of ideas together and then people can vote on where they would like to go.

The beach is good, but beach = police id rule mooloolaba out based on traffic alone, cartwright could be a good option, perhaps on the river at " la balsa park" (spelling?)
i was thinking perhaps us sunny coasters... depending on where we all live could meet the rest of the north bound crew at say Ettamogha Pub on the high way and then we can all cruise to our lunch destination, convenient for those of us in Caloundra. Just an idea. I should also have another 2 soarers with me i hope!
