Qld Raceway for Wednesday or Saturday sprints , is what you need. No one else on the forum (in Brisbane)seems interested though , so I've given up asking.

im keen for a saturday morning or somthing, i live at the coast so whatever is good for me, probably suck if it was another cruise up north. too much petty, hahaha.

hmm i like the idea of a track day.
I would be keen to track it up but not at that date as im goin to be down in Albury Wodonga freezin my a$$ off.
Ken- if you wanna do some research on a track day (i realise you already doin one) and post a new thread up some info with a good month warning , id say you would get some takers. Id be in.
** But in the interests of this thread / idea, its time to start firing out some suggestions for locations/destinations. As mentioned, im not expecting big numbers but just a good drive.
Saturday 1st of July MORNING for a run ? ******** OR ************* Wednesday 28th for a nite cruise down the Coast ? (wed avoids all the boy racer police bait) Im happy to do either.

The Wednesdays usually see about 25 cars ( Saturdays can be around 80 cars , too crowded for me). Qld Raceway has a calender fixed for the year , so I just fit in to the nominated days. Also I believe that Lakeside will be open for club sprints before the year's end. I'm looking forward to that. Cars range from new EVO's REX's MX5 sports cars , Falcons, 650hp Mustang etc. it's a great fun day . You'll get official lap times at the end & have 4 X 5 lap runs on two different tracks.

Nathan , I'm thru gathering bods for events. I've been promoting circuit track days for over 12 months. They have all been public events ( Granny can bring her Lada along) not one Soarer has turned up. I'm not concerned , I'm just getting more involved in motor sport(I'm about to join a club that will allow me to compete in hill climbs etc). If Soarerphiles want to come on a pre-arranged sprint day , well & good .......I can lead the horse to water , but .........
I will continue to promote the sprint events , on this forum , as I believe the place to race is on the track. If you've never really pushed your car to the limits ( & who can on public roads) , you'll never know just how good they (Soarers) are , especially with semi slick tyres.
