Hey guys, to get all the cash for the AHG Day I think a cruise/meet might be a good idea.

I'm thinking Saturday June 24 or the Sunday. Day time or night good for people? Basically you turn up and I take your money. :-) Of course anyone not coming to the AHG Day is welcome to come along and give me money also.

Sunday would work best for me, as I'm working all day Saturday, but there's also a high likelihood that I wont have the car that weekend anyways.

Luke, I'll get the cash to your account via net transfer whether I cruise or not. Will happen late next week.

I suggest you don't post your account details, better be safe than sorry Luke. Can you PM or email (
dans_my_name@hotmail.com) me the details then, I'm not sure if I'd be able to come on the cruise so I'd rather pay over the net. Also, I'm not 100% sure I will be able to make it to the AHG thing altogether, if my settlement goes through earlier (which it probably will) then I will be moving to my new house that weekend. I'll pay it anyway, but if I miss out then one of the reserves can take my spot, and pay me back for the thing, I'll know about a week beforehand hopefully.
Oh, and my cuz is still keen, so I'll get him to pay also. Cheers!

No, unless some rather generous criminal wants to deposit some money into your account.

We do it all the time for MC days etc. and I did it for the dyno day.

Just put up name, account number, and BSB.

Isn't there some sort of a Nigerian scam where they tell you they need your bank account details to deposit (obviously fake) $30 million inheritance or some sh|t in your account, coz there's no other way to take it out of their country, and then they end up taking all your money out somehow instead? Something like that? Fu(k knows.

That Nigerian thing happened to me. Some "lawyer" rang me a few times as well as the bank's "CEO", said everything was legit and that i had to go to Nigeria to sign something and i had a week to do it or the money will be frozen and there was no way to get it out. I told them not to spend everything in one place
I used to think that if you inherit something you need to prove who you are with a birth certificate or something. Apparently its a long and complicated process. Maybe its different in Nigeria

You must be thinking of a different scam then Paul (maybe), coz I'm half sure all the Nigerians wanted was the bank account details to 'deposit the inheritance'

Were they gonna pay for your plane ticket to Nigeria Nick?

Yeah I don't think anything bad can happen, after all your BSB and account numbers are on your bank statements which goes around to mail boxes all over Australia so it mustn't need to be that secure.

Oh well will err on the side of caution, anyone who wants to direct deposit let me know and I will PM details...

We have also discussed possibly including going to Fast and the Furious 3 as part of the cruise cause we all live life a quarter mile at a time, pizza boy!

Bad stuff can happen ;)
If someone knows BOTH your BSB and account number then they can get some corrupt bank worker to sit away at your account and steal moneys.

If that someone doesnt know your BSB and account number then they cant! ;)

Think of it this way, would you think that over time, a house with awesome anti-theft security and gatling guns would be more or less likely to be broken in to than a house you cant even see? (If the theif kept trying and trying and trying)
